Artistic representations of dreams (paintings, video etc)

@_Barry

No, I wish. Found them on this website:

I think you and @Carolel , along with other members might like it.

It claims it is the largest collection of artisits and artwork online, not sure if its true or not. I have not created an account there, so could not tell you much about it, other than I really liked the pictures I found on it, more than the other sites that came up in a google image search.

Likewise my firend.

Your artwork reminded me just how important it is to have a creative outlet. Whether its composing or painting or writing or building or inventing, etc, etc, creative expressionnis very powerful for wellness and peace of mind.

The Panting Rhythm Celebrates the Dance

This is a drawing of a hypnogogic image that I had. My hypnogogic experiences are almost always quite blurry, evaporate quickly and in turn transform into other blurs of color or fading light. But this very defined image hung there for awhile, enough to remember it and draw it out later. This is imagery that feels a bit foreign to me, yet this is what appeared.

Was this in color but you chose to stick to B&W? So impressive!

I don’t remember if hypnogogic image had color, probably did, rather muted at least… because they usually do…thx!

I hate to say it, but every time I look at it, it reminds me very much of a former president, who was portrayed as a clown by the vast majority of the media, but who I believe deep down had the heart of a lion (pure, golden, and couragous). How else do you survive that perpetual avalanche of hatred?

The drawing is apolitical but, of course, the viewer can always interpret meaning as he sees it. Nor does the artist need to agree🙀

I thought of the of The Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz.

That’s another possibility. It’s always interesting to hear the range of perception from the viewer. I receive ideas from the audience that never occurred to me

This a a useful bibliography and to have it annotated too especially helpful. Thank you for sharing details of your course and pictures of the books. @ArthurG

@_Carolel. Here’s what comes to me: Someone who puts on the face of a clown but inside is the heart of a Lion. I don’t know if that rings any bells.
