“ But as the Buddha said, if you don’t have the pleasure that comes from a well-concentrated mind, no matter how much you think about the drawbacks of sensuality, or the drawbacks of greed, aversion, and delusion, you can’t let them go. You need another form of pleasure to replace the pleasure that comes with sensuality. This is why we have to develop the factors of the path, primarily right mindfulness and right concentration.
There is likely to be some difficulty for one who has not reached the stage of Bhanga. It will be just like a tug-of-war for him between Anicca within, and physical and mental activities outside.” Ven.Niyanamoli, Hillside Hermitage
(Bhanga : knowledge of the rapidly changing nature of Rupa and Nama as a swift current or stream of internal energy; in particular, clear awareness of the phase of dissolution.)
With the grain-vs against the grain.
The differentiation between himself as the experiencer on the one hand and that force or set of forces called fate on the other is crucial to understand. He is pushed around and he witnesses being pushed around. Now in this state this person thereby still has a little fragment of impurity left. Ha ha. AH! There is still one fly left in the ointment and that impurity is the sensation of being pushed around . ( The pressure of the craving…is a push) There is still a fundamental division ( seen and believed in) between the knower and the known ( that fundamental division sets up the need dynamic-craving- which is impure only insofar as it keeps him on the wheel of Samara) And in the case of the fatalist , the knower seems to be the passive thing and everything known… the objective world or the goings-on of his own physiology… apear to be the active end. ( A perversion of order …Wrong Order… Right order is the knower is active. The outer is passive) In wrong order the knower just has the experience of him being moved by the tides of life.

“failing to see that is the view you hold onto”
“thats a fixed view in itself”
Such a beautiful teaching.
thank you for bringing this topic here Beloved friend.
Reminded me of a Lucid Dream I experienced on my last day of three weeks in the mountain (23rd November 2024):
After becoming lucid, I said to myself “I don’t remember my body”, got up, full of energy, ran very fast, dissolved and entered a void. In that void, a voice said very kindly to me, “There is no Vanda, only Love.” Woke up with a strong feeling of a vibrant loving golden energy all around me.
When sharing this LD with a Beloved male friend on that same day, our hearts opened as never before and, somehow, we both gave total permission to each other to just BE Jesus and His Profound Love was there with us - we both felt it.
I think it’s a very exciting experiment to act from a place where we can be in the full pleasure of allowing our bodies to express themselves. Taking in AH’s Obey Method, it can only become even better: Observing, being with it, examining and yoking. Yehaaaaay! Who said that we know anything? In this sacred space, mystery unfolds and we can experiment pleasure as if it was the first time… every time, under the wings of Profound Love
I this context, craving dissolves… there’s no longer any need, just being a full expression of Love materialized on this planet: an original melody of two souls dancing together.

Great stuff, @NightHawk999 . Takes me here…
Thanks brother!
“Such a beautiful teaching. thank you for bringing this topic here Beloved friend.“
Wow! Seems to me in that “There is no Vanda, only Love”, you tripped beyond this realm of relative reality and made a visit to absolute reality! Going from where there is plenty of “I-me-mine” to the celestial Absolute realm where there are significant gradients of less and less to absolutely no “I-me-mine”! Nameless. Directionless. Void.
Fritz Pearls; “ It = you”. To me, I dare say you felt the transcendental Love from the Absolute Realm that both you and your companion truly are . You felt youse. One. Indivisible. This, methinks, is the other form of pleasure that replaces the pleasure that comes with sensuality. This is the result of your developing the factors of the path, primarily right mindfulness and right concentration. Raw bodily sensuality, even ecstatic sex ain’t got nothing on the sacred bliss you two-as-one souls were graced with!
Achtung! Radical thinking about to be expressed here!!! ….
My sense is the body does not express anything. To say it does is the incorrect order of this world. The right order is that the spirit does it. It is the life force, conscious or unconscious that expresses thru the body. The spirit is the do-er in all things. That is how this is non-sensual pleasure. And , yes, experiencing it depends upon observing, being with it, examining and yoking, thank you AH.
What do you know? You know your experience, that is for sure! Such experiences such as you’ve described are coming from the merits you are now harvesting as a result of developing the factors of the path, primarily right mindfulness and right concentration. I would say craving dissolves… there’s no longer any need as you say, because there is no or very little “I-me-mine” there. No I, no craving! Yay!
The other soul in this dance is also a person developing the factors of the path in their life, yes?
Bhanga : knowledge of the rapidly changing nature of Rupa and Nama as a swift current or stream of internal energy; in particular, clear awareness of the phase of dissolution.
Rupa-form, Nama-name. In this cultivation of the factors of the path, we begin to see upon our return to relative reality, this swift current or stream of internal energy arise and fall. This is a most deepening of understanding of the dharma just as much as our joyous and blissful submersion into the void of Nirvana is.
Thank you ever so much for stimulating this mind to contemplate ever so deeply this awakening journey we sojourn together, Deer One! Woot woot!
Since when Deer Heart?
Yes, perhaps when discerning all that there is yet to be known.
However, you too know so very much as you have lived and loved so very much!
And I thank you, @BlessingsDeers for everything and nothing! Ha Ha Ha!
hahaha!!!..
I could write a book about this conversation… hihihi
