Great book and movie.

It spawned a Vonnegut stream of consciousness in the late 60s, early 70s including the following TV special below. It’s in 4 parts, but I could only find 1 and 4. No matter, if you watch it, you’ll get the point.

Last week I had a pretty awesome synchronicity with this post and this one:

I was reading this book:

And I was looking for a section about precognitive dreams.
Could not find it so I looked for an index in the back of the book. No index, but in its place was a list of books and their respective religious ties. Under the section of Christianity, was the 2 books you mentioned!

Pretty amazing.

have not cracked open the Philokalia yet, but am about 2.5 hours into listening to the Pilgrim book, and they have referenced in that book some good sections of the Philokalia to check out.

Thank you

The Philokalia and the Enchiridion? Interesting that the Enchiridion would be indexed as a Christian resource. As far as I know Epictetus was not Christian.

In what context did the book mention the Philokalia? I’m not very familiar with it but if it contains teachings on dreams I would be very interested to take a look at them.

Was a really cool synchronicity

As far as I remember it was just in a list of further recommended reading books at the back of the book. You can read the list free here in the link, click free sample and scroll to the end, lots of books listed, look under the Christianity section:

I loved this text, easy to read and had a lot of history of dreaming throughout cultures, along with some night tips and techniques. Highly recommend you read the introduction in the free sample, and see if anything resonates with you.

Finally got around to listening to this last night and deeply resonated with the introduction. Thank you for this!

I actually had a dream Saturday night/Sunday morning that @Bucket posted a link in the forums that was filled with 'Great Light’.

Was disappoined to find no posts from you that day to confirm the dream, then before bed Sunday night, I decided to listen to Untethered Soul, and was about to click one of the videos when I was reminded that I had not listened to Cost of Discipleship and went with my gut to check out the first 5min.

Was Blown away, total Home Run.

Thank you
