📽 Movie Magic: Iconic Scenes🎥

“Waking Life” is one of the trippiest films ever made and one of my favs. Created by alternative Austin filmmaker, Richard Linklatter in 2001, it was filmed with live actors and then the film uses computer animation over top of the filmed scenes which gives the whole thing a very dreamy, trippy effect. The protagonist spends the film wandering around in a dream-like bardo realm wondering if he is awake or dreaming, alive or dead, and having strange philosophical dialogs with the folks he meets along the way.

Austin right wing talk show host Alex Jones, who was relatively unknown at the time, makes a brief appearance as a guy who drives around town ranting through megaphones.

If you’ve never seen this film, it’s worth a viewing. You can rent it on youtube.
