, then it’s good to recognize that some people suffered religious abuse in the name of Christianity. Think about all of the people who were sexually abused by Catholic priests, for instance! And yes, abuse happens in all religions. It’s just good to be aware that Christianity and even the word “God” is very triggering to some people.

I am not trying to minimize the pain and abuse she and so many have suffered from wolves ]psychopaths] wearing sheep’s clothing. Hatred I think turns this pain to suffering, and there is a path out of this suffering.

If fundamentalist Christians stir up suffering in her, perhaps a small step froward might be to ask her:

So last weekend I went to a giant body of water and dipped my toes for the first time in years. I thought of you when I entered the water. Then the following day went swimming in it. Coincidence with this post?!?!?:

There was a guy holding his baby at the beach with a dog and father. He let me pet the dog, and I asked him if the dog liked to swim. He said the dog was afraid of water, but you could try to persuade him.

Long story short, about 5min later the dog was halfway in the water letting the waves reach his chest. They guy was impressed and said the dog had never gone that deep in the water before, and they go to the beach a lot.

It all starts with dipping the toes slowly, with care, patience and love
