In my lifetime, I have lived under kings who lived by the Left and the Right side of those 'Ideals"
The Kings that lived by the Right side and cultivated the training, harmed far less people in the world, than the opposite.

as well as their experiencer,
just like in a dream.â

Bhagavad GÄ«tÄ 7:24
âThose who lack discrimination, not knowing My limitless, changeless nature beyond which there is nothing greater, look upon Me, who is formless, as one endowed with a manifest form.â

"Times are difficult globally; awakening is no longer a luxury or an ideal. Itâs becoming critical. We donât need to add more depression, more discouragement, or more anger to whatâs already here. Itâs becoming essential that we learn how to relate sanely with difficult times. The earth seems to be beseeching us to connect with joy and discover our innermost essence. This is the best way that we can benefit others.
There are three traditional methods for relating directly with difficult circumstances as a path of awakening and joy. The first method weâll call no more struggle; the second, using poison as medicine; and the third, seeing whatever arises as enlightened wisdom. These are three techniques for working with chaos, difficulties, and unwanted events in our daily lives."

"Itâs like inviting what scares us to introduce itself and hang around for a while. As Milarepa sang to the monsters he found in his cave, âIt is wonderful you demons came today. You must come again tomorrow. From time to time, we should converse.â "

It took me years to understand that this, too, was a gift."

Buddhist spiritual teacher and psychologist Tara Brach released this talk the day after the U.S. Presidential election. Itâs a good talk for those of us who are disappointed, saddened, angry or troubled by the election result. It also includes a nice guided visualization meditation.
Staying present and awe-filled in a world of distracting devices.
Love Tara!
Her tree analogy was golden talking about hard wood and stregetherning roots. Well said. ![]()
Terrrible actor, but Home Run scene highlighting the Bodhisattvasâ path:
Dawn of Justice
@NightHawk999 Interesting Ken Wilber video. OK, he said Buddha was the ultimate Republican because he emphasized personal responsibility but he was also the ultimate liberal Democrat because he challenged the caste system. Thatâs why he was integral!
Interesting that he thinks both Bill Clinton and Karl Rove are integral thinkers. The political references are a bit dated but still fascinating.
Absolutely, this is why party loyalty is so destructive, Indepedants and Libertarians know how important the Middle way is. Call um political Buddhas.
No doubt.
What is even more fascinating is how parties evolve or regress over time. In the past 10 years I watched the Republican party take a step or 2 up the integral ladder, and the Democrats do the opposite.
I never thought the Republican party would become the party of free speech, diverse ideologies, and inclusion. (These used to be ideals held sacred by Democrats). My God this transformation was fascinating to watch!
I also never thought I would see the Republican party become a melting pot of races, religions, sexual orientations, socioeconomic backgrounds, and gender fluid individuals. Pretty amazing, this is how democracy should be.
These changes are not set in stone and should not be reified to last forever. Eventually things will shift. Bloat and corruption grows exponentially the longer a party stays in power, while tolerance for dissention drops drastically. This sickness infects all political parties equally. (We saw it during the Bush reign).
Nothing is forever.
I have shared this secret before, but I think its worth repeating:
Donald Trump is a New York Democrat
Do you not remember in 2015, how with one âarrowâ he was able to castrate Jeb Bush on the debate state, and bury the Bush Dynasty, once and for all!?!?!?! ![]()
Love him or hate him, the man shed light on how corrupt business as usual was in Washington, and how deceptive the media is. (I think Americansâ trust and faith in Media is at an all time low, even lower than that of Congress).
I really hope the Press will go back to reporting truth and not yellow journalism. And i really hope Congress will stop being so partisan, and work together of policies that help ALL Americans (And the world at large).

Well Mr. NightHawk, I pray to All Buddhas, Boddhisattvas and Goddesses of Liberty that you are right and that Trump is bringing in a Libertarian paradise. I fear just the opposite. I see signs of fascism on the horizon. I pray that I am wrong and you are right.
In the meantime, I see no point in arguing all of this any further.
Peace out my friend.
p.s. Whether we are entering a luminous dream of liberty, or a nightmare, or some confusing mix, let us stay lucid in this dream, my friend.

Amen.
And let us hope he has ushered in a new era of politics, where the voice of the majority of people is heard, and it is not just big donors and special interests that benefit from the Executive office.
Its probable, the same way its probable that the moon crashes into earth tomorrow.
Donât get your âhopesâ too low ![]()
These chicken little scenarios are meant to manipulate peoples fears and angers, and solidify the bases of both parties. Its dirty politics, and I really wish both sides would stop doing it to the American people. I think it causes a great deal of sickness and pain and division.
