The Dharma of Pacifying Suffering

In The Hundred Thousand Songs Of Milarepa Milarepa asks the great Indian sage Dampa Sangye about the practice of The Dharma of Pacifying Suffering. (p. 632). His “song” is beautiful. The footnote reads as follows:

**The practice in which one does not concern oneself with the causes of suffering, but rather focuses directly on the suffering itself. To do the practice, analyze the suffering to see if it truly exists or not. When you have determined its true nature, look straight at its essence, and let go and relax.
