Wondering if anybody has experienced heavy “flickering” in their lucid dreams, where your visual field will alternate between the dream and blackness? Seems kind of similar to some vipassana phenomena, wondering if there’s a relationship.
Yes! This experience happened in a fairly long lucid dream just last week. At first I thought I was waking up, but it was just as you describe it. The “lights” coming on and off again…
Something like that happened last night but I am unaware of anything like that associated with Vipassana (as taught by Goeinka)
WTF you guises – this is news to me! Fascinating. I don’t recall experiencing anything like this in my own dreams. Sounds like whatever hardware your reality simulations are running on might be experiencing resource constraints.
Could be an interesting thing to ask Andrew about on the call today.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to bring light or illumination to a somewhat dark lucid dream? I spun and changed the scene to a bright beach, but wondering what would happen if I had stayed in the darkness and explored. My concern is that I would lose lucidity! I need a dream plan should I find myself in a dark room or situation…
I like to simply shout out to the dream itself “Let there be light” or something like that. It works some of the time… definetley stay dark plenty of other times!
