I know how to play, I just don’t like it. I don’t like trying to outsmart someone else and ensnare them. I know the advantages but I don’t find the creativity that chess promotes the creativity I care about. I like stories such as The Queen’s Gambit because it is about more than the game of Chess. Have you seen it?

No, been on my bucket list for years though, and I appreciate the reminder.

I dont either, but I hate being ensnared…

Chess taught me to look 2-3 stop lights ahead, along with watching the cars and tail lights in between them

Growing up on the streets and working since I was 14 did that for me. Making some big mistakes also helped in that development.

No doubt the 3D ā€˜chess board’ is a far better teacher than the 2d one.

I dont think this is a great promotor of creativity either, but I think its fantastic at helping with Memory, Imagination, and Attention to details.
