At one point in my life I almost joined a Nichiren sangha. Didn’t end up happening, but I still like to chant the Daimoku sometimes.
Looks like a beautiful place! And a very beautiful (and large) gohonzon.
Great mind thinks alike.
@_Barry was admiring the circle artwork that looks like a clock. 13 characters? Not 12? What is its meaning?
Can’t say for sure but I’ll bet it is this since this is what they chant as it bangs out the prayer at 5:00 PM
This is from Andrew’s Preparing to Die program that is going on right now. Hopefully no one is offended by the sharing/mix I made out of Andrew chanting from his pre-recorded session tonight. We get one session a week every Wednesday plus ~5 hours pre recorded content on death every week that was recorded from his in person retreats.
This mantra is quite rare. In my search I have found no versions quite like it. What sets Andrew’s Manjushri mantra apart is the inclusion of ‘Hum’ at its conclusion—a powerful sound designed to weave these teachings into our being through the use of primordial vibrations.

Might have been posted before, but this is one of my mantras I play regularly in my kirtan practice.
7 Line Guru Rimpoche Prayer
Medicine Buddha Mantra
Om Mani Pedme Hung Shri
Purification Mantra of 5 Elements
I wouldn’t go so far as the author’s conclusion, having a background in research, though it is worth noting . . .
There is something very powerful to these mantras, thank you for shaeing that article.
@BlessingsDeers hope you enjoy this thread
