Yeah, see my post above. Itās ok-good. I may return it though as Iāve had better sleep masks, lighter and with more eye room.
PS. Returned it.

Ah did not read this one, my bad.
Andrew has made The Manta Sleep Mask the Mask de jure for his upcoming Menla retreat. While I sent it back finding it uncomfortable I tried the pro version, twice the price, but a lot more comfortable. About 5% cheaper with a discount offered from the Manta site.
I have the āsleepā model from them, which was all they had when I bought it. They seem to have come out with other styles very quickly. I like the sleep one ok. It is so much better than the other ones we talked about initially that I ought to just throw those ones in the trash. The Sleep model blocks out almost all light; but with my strong nose bridge (which gets in the way of everything lol) I do have to tighten the band around the head more than I like to get that 100% occlusion. I find that if I sit in a darkened room I can have the head band more comfortable and it still gets that perfect darkness. But lately Iām on to a new personal fad of sleeping al aire libre under the cosmos, which comes with its own magic, especially when enjoyed in a rural area with great nighttime star visibility.
I will ask you about this in a few weeks to check if you feel itās still comfortable.
hmmmmmā¦ so wonderful
@BlessingsDeers
Sending this one back too. It still touches my eyebrows and eyelashes, me being a side sleeper. Iāve had other sleep masks that didnāt touch, which might have had a light leak or two around the edges, but comfort is job 1. Iāll use the Mindfold mask for the dark retreat retreat. Ah well . . . . .
I am also a side sleeperā¦ thatās why for me itās also very difficult to find any mask comfortableā¦
Iāve had this problem too. I have a vision of the perfect mask but it would have to be custom formed to each wearerās face. I would have to somehow make a mold of my face (would mean making a ānegativeā and then having to fill it in to get a āpositiveā model that actually looks like a head)- and then build the mask form out of lightweight fiberglass or another suitable material. There would be some kind of light padding between the fiberglass mask and the face itself for comfort and better occlusion. But the fiberglass could be sculpted to have ābug eyesā where the area over each eye- or over both eyes and the upper part of the nose- sticks out away from the face enough to give your eyes some metaphorical breathing room. It would be quite a project to learn how to actually create this as I donāt have the materials nor the skill set. It would be much less time consuming to simply light-proof a room!
This was my decision last week. I pondered about it because of the material used (black out curtains), but it was all flowing into that direction, so itās done!
