Will not make sense to many, but yeah, the “vamp” I was talking to? Pretty sure they completely missed the point of the “Training Day” clips I discussed with them. They were stuck on the “King Kong ain’t got shit on me” ending. Whatever.
Look, mercy prevailed. The dude who called out the rapist survived after trials and tribulations. That’s the scene that counts. That’s the one that changes everything. The “King Kong” scene? Just watch it. You’ll get it. Or you won’t. Doesn’t matter.
This whole thing? Big moment. Big shift. Hard to explain. Probably impossible. Just watch the clips. If you haven’t seen “Training Day,” seriously, go watch it. Denzel at his best.
