Definitely a Realized Prophet, sad he wasnt able to get more Indian nations to join him.

I have wondered more than a few times if all the tribes had been able to set aside their differences, and band together as 1 unified force, how much would history have changed?

Not sure if this is true or not, but was told by a guy from Mexico last week that Cortez used the divide to conquer method, allying himself with tribes that were hostile to the Mayans (the Aztecs?). This statement may need some serious fact checking though.

Oklahoma was also supposed to be an Indian State, but looked what happened! As long as the U.S. Government supported settlers going in and homesteading, their could never be an Indian State. The only way it would ever happen is if the U.S. Cavalry had joined with the Indians in keeping white settlers out. But at that time in history, fat chance of that happening.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend?!?!? Pretty fucked up history:
@fenwizard

" Battle of Tenochtitlán , (May 22–August 13, 1521), military engagement between the Aztecs and a coalition of Spanish and indigenous combatants. Spanish conquistadores commanded by Hernán Cortés allied with local tribes to conquer the Aztec capital city of Tenochtitlán. Cortés’s army besieged Tenochtitlán for 93 days, and a combination of superior weaponry and a devastating smallpox outbreak enabled the Spanish to conquer the city. Cortés’s victory destroyed the Aztec empire, and the Spanish began to consolidate control over what became the colony of New Spain."

Kind of parallels the African tribes who warred with other tribes to sell them into the Muslim slave trade, and European slave trade, and American slave trade

I knew Paul Levy in the 90’s when I lived in Portland, OR (where he lives). He is a Vajrayana Buddhist practitioner, dream-worker, psychedelic explorer and a survivor of the Western psychiatric system. He runs groups where he works with the concept that everything is a dream and is meaningful. I hung out with him on a regular basis and shared lots of interesting conversations. Here he is talking about “Wetiko”:

He has quite a few youtube videos on a number of topics.
I’m also posting his forward to a book by his Dharma teachers, “the Khempos” in the Spiritual Teachings thread.
