Magnetizing the Power of the Lotus: Buddha Amitabha - History, Dharani, Sutras, Sadhana and Sukhavati

This video is a huge good surprise for me… watched it fully a couple of days ago, and my mother also loves it. We replayed it yesterday.

Thank you @YelienaT

From watching this video, I connected with the shamanic tradition where we give offerings to the fire…. Like in Buddhism they are given to fire Buddhas and deities, as well as other elements. This is the insight I mentioned yesterday Beloved @Kalabasis

This inspired me to light our fireplace in connection with Amitabha, offering chocolate and flowers that were not so fresh anymore, with some prayers. The whole day was magic… @NightHawk999 did you have, perhaps, anything to do with this? :folded_hands: :infinity:

" Dog burial recovered from CA-SNI-25, San Nicolas Island."

“Recent archaeological excavations on San Nicolas Island, located off the coast of southern California, revealed the remains of a double dog burial interred sometime during the 13th and 14th centuries. Two carefully laid to rest and possibly sacrificed juvenile, female domestic dogs (Canis familiaris) between the ages of 1 and 6 months were found wi…”

I just came from a memorial for Gary Peterson, an elder from the Skokomish Tribe, who along with his wife Yvonne Peterson of the Chehalis Tribe taught at the Evergreen State College here in Olympia. My wife sometimes taught with them and was their friend. Gary had a PhD in Sociology and was a leader in the field of Indian child welfare. The memorial was at the Chehalis Tribe and organized by his wife Yvonne. Northwest coastal Indian gatherings and memorials usually involve “give-aways.” This comes out of the potlatch tradition in which one’s status in the Tribe was not based on how much wealth one could accumulate but on how much one could give away to others at these public gatherings, including memorials. We came away with several blankets, cedar bark headbands, cedar boxes, special printed t-shirts and more. One of the main singers and leaders of this event was Delbert “Smutcoom” Miller of the Skokomish Tribe. Here he is storytelling, teaching and singing about the wisdom that comes to us from the tree people.

“we all have one voice” - yesterday I was sharing with a deer friend that the Maya people had an excellent technique for making tribe decisions - everyone would talk at the same time! :deer: I tried it and magically… it works!

Beloved, do you know the author Martin Prechtel?
I read one of his books:

And LOVED it!
I think you and @NightHawk999 will enjoy his books very much (in case you don’t know them yet):

Yes! Martin Prechtel is great!
Years ago I heard him speak in person and I’ve also heard him interviewed on radio programs.

“The Navajo teach their children that every morning when the sun comes up, it’s a brand-new sun. It’s born each morning, it lives for the duration of one day, and in the evening it passes on, never to return again. As soon as the children are old enough to understand, the adults take them out at dawn and they say, ‘The sun has only one day. You must live this day in a good way, so that the sun won’t have wasted precious time.’ Acknowledging the preciousness of each day is a good way to live, a good way to reconnect with our basic joy.” - Pema Chödrön

Beloved… are you ready to receive some golden teachings about some of the content here? This is sacred ancient knowledge on the meaning of adornments (this knowing resonated deeply with me and changed my life)… perhaps too sacred to share it here? not sure…
what do you feel?
