I stole this Gem from Mia Lux
(Lucid dreaming video 1: @52min mark).
Made a few modifications to turn it into a prayer:
"Thank you God for the extraordinary good luck of being born as I am in this moment, in this specific human manifestation, in this specific time, in this place made available to humanity.
What extraordinary good luck to be alive in a moment where these teachings are available with the technology to connect. To have the time and the safety to be here. To be the exception in the human experience, where so much of what we’ve experienced is just survival; what an incredible opportunity! What a precious human life to have. Lord please let me never forget that this moment matters, this lifetime matters!
We could have been born in a time without freedom. Could be born in a time of great challenge. We all have struggles, we all have challenges, but we have so many blessings too in this day and age. This moment matters!
And layering onto that; this precious human life that’s been given is not forever. And no matter how old we are, we all have a finite amount of years ahead of us in this particular form. And so we have a particular opportunity to use this lifetime as we have it now.
Its not hard to look around the world and just see suffering, look at the momentum of human habit over millennia. Let this recognition further strengthen my commitment and my resolve to do the work that offers me a way through and out. To do whatever is in my power, working with myself, shifting the momentum of mind to spin the wheel of karmic habits in the opposite direction, through conscious choices.
Finally. Lord, let me recognize these patterns we see in ourselves, in the world, are not random. What we are seeing are the effects from previous causes. This moment right now, we are planting more seeds, and either planting seeds of unconscious replication, or choosing to plant seeds of intentionality and of Awareness and of beauty. In the context of the preciousness of life, the impermanence of life, the suffering in the world, acknowledging the pocket of agency I have, please God empower me to plant new blessed causes, moment to moment to moment to moment."
The Serenity Prayer
"God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change
the courage to change the things I can
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time.
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as he did, the sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it.
Trusting that he will make all things right
if I surrender to His will;
that I may be reasonably happy [Awake] in this life,
and supremely happy [Awake] with Him forever."
