CAN PEOPLE TELL WHEN THEY ARE BEING LISTENED TO ON TELEPHONES?
In 1994, while living in Singapore, I made a call to the USA and after hanging up I picked up the phone again to make another call, but to my disbelief I was able to listen to my entire call being played back to me. Indeed, a friend told me that even back then, everything was being monitored and recorded . . . .
“History doesn’t repeat itself, but it does rhyme…”
More like rap these days . . . . . .
I LOVE when this happens
cool synch…
here it is
Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy technique that helps people heal from trauma and other distressing experiences:
- How it works
During EMDR, a patient focuses on a memory while moving their eyes in a specific pattern or listening to a sound. The patient then reports any new thoughts that emerge. The therapist uses standardized procedures to determine the focus of each set of eye movements. The process continues until the patient no longer finds the memory distressing.
- Benefits
EMDR can help patients:
-
Process upsetting memories, thoughts, and feelings
-
Get relief from PTSD symptoms
-
Start to heal
-
See things from a different perspective
-
Effectiveness
EMDR is considered an effective and evidence-based treatment for PTSD. Many clinical trials have shown that EMDR can be faster than other methods.
- Who can use it
EMDR can be used by adults and children. It can also be effective in a variety of settings, including in-person sessions, weekly sessions, or intensive group sessions.
- History
EMDR was developed in the late 1980s by psychologist Francine Shapiro."
" EMDR has several advantages.
- It works. Dozens of studies have found that EMDR is effective."
This is research cited by the Somnee organization to back up the claimed effectiveness of their Somnee headset. I have been using it for over a week and my experience has been extremely positive thus far, for sleeping, dreaming and some lucidity.
From the study:
These findings provide evidence that frequency specific personalized electrical brain stimulation offers a promising method for optimizing human sleep quality. Moreover, these effects were especially prominent in those with the highest ratings of insomnia, suggesting a potential future therapeutic opportunity, once there is replication of these findings in a larger cohort.
