Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche (TWR) quotes

“When we think our solution to happiness will be found in the external world,
we look in the wrong place.
We find happiness but it passes.”

"We can partially undersatnd karmic traces if we think of them as tendencies in the unconscious.
They are inclinations,
patterns of internal and external behavior,
ingrained reactions,
habitual conceptualizations.
They dictate our characteristic emotional habits
and intellectual rigidities.
They condition every reaction we normally have to every element of experience."

"Any reaction to any situation- external or internal, waking or dreaming- if conditioned by grasping or aversion, leaves a trace.
As karma dictates reactions, the reactions reinforce the karmic tendancies, which further dictate reactions, and so on.
This is how karma leads to more karma. It is the wheel of samsara, the ceaseless cycle of conditioned action and reaction."

"The elements supporting the manifestation of the karma are known as secondary causes and conditions and can be an environment, in [typo?] incident, a person, thoughts, or memories. The seeds are stored in the base consciousness of the individual, in the KUNZHI NAMSHE."

"When death comes and the body deteriorates, the KUNZHI NAMSHE does not.
The karmic traces continue in the mental continuum until they are purified.
When they are completely gone, there is no longer a kunzhi namshe, and the individual is a BUDDHA."

“if someone is angry with us and we react with anger, we are left with a seed making it slightly more likely for anger to arise again, and it becomes more likely that we will encounter the secondary situations that allow our habitual anger to arise.”

&

“Angry people continually encounter situations that seem to justify their anger, while people with less anger do not. The external situations may be similar, but the different karmic inclinations create different subjective worlds.”

wonderful video!
We do the first one at Lu Jong classes. I was so happy to get to know the meaning of it:
Fire-like wind
Digesting food, generating heat, and opening the navel chacra, nourishing the body’s physical strength and quickly igniting the heat of bliss, causing the attainment of the ultimate, non-dual body of emanation, from my heart, I praise the fire-element wind.

the other “dances” are also spectacular!
Also wrote down the meaning:
Pervasive wind

Generating strength in all the limbs of the body, accomplishing effortless and spontaneous virtuous activity, causing the attainment of the ultimate essence body, from my heart, I praise the pervasive wind-element wind.

Downward-clearing wind

Obtaining mastery in retaining the vital essence and expanding bliss, opening the secret path and igniting the bliss of one’s own nature, causing the attainment of the ultimate body of great bliss, from my heart, I praise the downward-clearing water-element wind.

I will keep my daily practice though… which is already A LOT… I noticed the other day that it’s already on my system. But I will also keep these videos for when the heart wishes to do some more. Thank you SO much BB for finding these gems and sharing them with us :gem: God you

Did some bibliomancy last night and ended up on page 148

Above is the first line I read, but many gems in this small chapter.

Many more gems to come, so little time to write them down, I have been highlighting like crazy in this sacred text, I need a bigger highlighter!

I know, I use sticky tabs (I never liked making markings in books, part of my OCD I’m sure), and I’m starting to grow quite the forest of them out of the top of the book now :).

Did Bibliomancy and went to this paragraph:
“All through the day there are challenges that may make you feel agitated, angry, confused, or anxious. Or they can strengthen you”.
Indeed! In every struggle we grow and develop. In every challenge we become more of who we truly are :brown_heart:

When we have the courage to share the truth and uncover the mysteries, all the huge issue are a lot smaller than we imagined!..

thank you for sharing this BB :pray:t3:

I LOVE writing in my books… It’s like having a conversation with the author… and when I write just what i read, it’s like saying “I hear you”… I also write on the first pages of the book - the ones with a lot of space (the title only) and put there what I enjoy the most, with the page number.
And every now and then, I give all my books to associations and/or places where I know they will be read and spread… :feather:
hihihi

“All through the day there are challenges that may make you feel agitated, angry, confused, or anxious. Or they can strengthen you”.

This one deserved a emboldened repost!

Total Grand Slam my friend!

What was the page number?

No, thank you my Heart

True

LOVE this!

Yes this is why I write and highlight in mine. I figure this will help others who come in contact with the text in the future, and will make the words that much more likely to resonate with them (especially is very deep texts!).

The writing and highlighting has to be done with tact. I think too much can make it difficult to read for others, but if done right and with love, I think it greatly increases the books value, and makes it a gift that can keep on giving.

"When this discomfort arises, welcome it as a reminder to practice.
Immediately connect to your body.
Find the stillness inside.
Stay present.
Allow thoughts and feelings to arise and dissolve.
As you practice, remain longer in the stillness and gradually begin to feel more connected to the inner space.
You have found your inner refuge.
Unbounded space is your protection.
It is beyond anger or anxiety.
Rest there.
It is the Buddha within."

Last night I was doing the purification breathe practice. My right nostril was pretty clogged, barely any air could get in. I tried for close to an hour to clear it naturally with the breath, and when that failed did forceful breathes in and out throught it. Nothing worked. As I lay down to go to sleep, a car alarm went off in the distance, easily heard through the open window. I remembered reading this passage above in the book, and immediately focused my attention on the spaciousness and luminosity around my third eye. It took some of the edge off from the minor irritation of the car alarm.

Then something miraculous happened. While focusing on this ‘Unbounded Space’, my right nostril cleared and completely opened up!!! I shit you not, no lie!!! I was dumbfounded and mind blown. And if that wasnt confirmation from God of the power of these practices, right after my nostril opened, the car alarm stopped beeping!

I did a camel yoga pose and that position reclogged the nostril. So I tried it again, focusing on the Unbound Space within, and literally within seconds the nostril recleared again, and stayed clear and open through the night and into the morning.

Amazing.

I once did an intuition workshop to discover that I have a light being with me that helps me in this… it’s amazing the way I do it!.. it’s just so natural and fluid.
sometimes I also put the dates of synchronicities that happen when I read the book, and a resume of the story

touché! :dolphin:

such beautiful text and practice!.. :feather:

yes…! now you know what to do… what works with you… brilliant! I also LOVE when this happens… it also means that I’m attentive to myself, that I’m aware :brown_heart:
so happy for you!
