To find where the meteors radiate from, locate the constellation Orion, and look to the upper left hand side, above his belt:
I captured another meteor on my dashcam earlier this week. It was a cool synchronicity, I had been writing a letter to my Jehovah Witness pen pal about some concerns I had about an old tradition of children sitting on Santa’s lap and whispering their desires in his ear. (Ironically Santa is an anagram with only two words that are commonly known) That night the meteor came down when the song “The Chemicals Between Us” was playing and the lyrics were:
“I want you to remember
A love so full it could send us all ways
I want you to surrender
All my feelings rose today
And I want you to remain
The power of children can amaze”
I added some fun stickers that were on video editing app on my phone too.
This was the night that inspired me to dive into emptiness. First time I had a rise above baseline in emotion for a very long time. The speed of this meteor was incredible in person. Heart rate went up for about 3 seconds and flattened back out. Father still knows how to get a rise out of me

Nope, I was impressed with DALLE-3’s ability to depict the scene that was experienced.
So cold last night, but I was able to see a nice shooting star before I froze. Update: Saw a bigger one tonight.
Last night on my drive home from work I saw 5 pretty bright ones. Must be from this. Same as the other dashcam stuff I have caught before so I didn’t pull it off the memory card (it is a pain in the butt to remove from the dashcam). Guess I should, I’ve only seen a few and these were some of the brightest I’ve seen.
The one I saw last night seemed to have a hissing sound which I know wasn’t my tinnitus.
I saved the files from my dashcam. I’ll try to go through then later for the rest. Three of them were as bright as the one below. Two probably didn’t show up well on the camera because they were off to the far left side of the road. It was pretty active on my drive home last night.
