Du Tri Su Teaching, Ritual, Transmission and Empowerment
with Tempa Dukte Lama via Zoom and In-Person
https://olmoling.org/events/du_tri_su_teaching
Sat. December 7th – Sun. December 8th, 2024
9:30 AM – 1:00 PM EST
Registered participants will receive the recording after the teaching the following Tuesday/Wednesday.
The ritual explanation will be in English. Simultaneous translation will be available in Spanish, Portuguese, French and Russian via Zoom!
In this weekend’s training, Tempa Lama will give explanations of how to conduct the Lu Sang The Du Tri Su cycle of teachings is part of the outer, inner, and secret practices and rituals taught by the Awakened One Tonpa Shenrab to help beings address obstacles and challenges in their lives. The Du Tri Su mantra is one of the Three Heart Mantras of Bon. It is the heart practice of Bon to clear the karmic conditioning and suffering of the lower realms and the obstacles in our present life. The Du Tri Su mantra strengthens our vital energy, enables healing of our body and our relationships, and protects us from epidemics, disease, provocation of energy, hostile forces, and disturbing spirits. It is also a powerful practice to call upon the souls of the deceased, offer them guidance, and help them find peace and wellbeing.
On Saturday, Tempa Dukte Lama will teach the practice, chant, and visualization of the Du Tri Su mantra. On Sunday he will perform the complete ritual of the Du Tri Su cycle with support from the Olmo Ling community and will give the Du Tri Su transmission and empowerment. The teaching, ritual, and transmission will be offered both via Zoom and in person.
The Du Tri Su ritual and empowerment helps us clear obstacles such as illness, disease, misfortune, sadness and emotional challenges, and natural catastrophes. Receiving the instructions beforehand helps us benefit more fully from the ritual by helping us establish our mind in the visualization of the Du Tri Su mandala during the ritual. At the center of the Du Tri Su mandala is the primordial Buddha Kuntu Zangpo. He is surrounded by the Four Transcendental Lords – the Great Mother Satrig Ersang in the east, the Buddha of Compassion Shenlha Ökar in the north, the Buddha of Wisdom Sidpa Sangpo Bumtri in the west, and the Awakened One Tonpa Shenrab in the south. Surrounding the Four Transcendental Lords are the compassionate beings known as the Thirteen Primordial Shen, the Six Subduing Shen, and the Guardians of the Four Directions.

Education Professionals sure deserve this…
Your Gift Helps SAAM Support Teachers
This is not an easy time to be a classroom teacher in the United States. Educators across the nation are dealing with burnout, heightened politicization of their work, and the lingering effects of the pandemic on students’ learning and mental health. Teachers in rural parts of the country, where about one in five Americans live, often face their own unique challenges. These creative educators go the extra mile to seek out enriching opportunities to introduce their students to experiences and perspectives beyond their immediate environments and communities. This is where the Smithsonian American Art Museum can help.
Collaborating with rural teachers and inviting them to participate in SAAM’s Summer Institutes with financial support has been a cornerstone of the education department’s Rural Engagement in Art, Culture and History initiative, called REACH. Your Giving Tuesday gift will support REACH programming and professional development for teachers across the country.
Many interesting things here…

A monthly virtual encounter to reckon whence and whither humanity.
Throughout 2022 Àlex initiated The Future Scientist conversation series, a monthly virtual encounter to understand where science is going and to reimagine where we hope it might go.
Maintaining the spirit and the format intact, in 2023 the series expanded its scope and morphed into The Future Human as a natural continuation of the quest to reckon whence and whither humanity.
Now, in 2024, Àlex will continue to curate and host such conversations to address The Future Mind, seeking to gain clarity and insight into important contemporary matters that require both urgent action as well as deep reflection.
