Homage to the Six Yogas from Japan

Namo guru daka dakini yeh!
O all pervading Buddhas of Light and Bliss gathered here
I request that you bestow blessings on us all
That we may achieve wisdom of ecstasy and emptiness conjoined.
To Andrew and all gathered here, Buddhas all,
Inspire us in illusory body yoga
Seeing all waking state appearances as illusions
Engaging the illusory body of dreams
When sleep sedates our minds
May the energies collect in the central channel
And the clear light of sleep emerge
And may we apply these principles of dream yoga
To the bardo at the time of death
I, who know so little, came into this world, and at the tender age of two years old
Dreaming clear light and primordial sound
365 days in a row
Dying nightly
Was thought by my parents to be epileptic and so I was “neurotested” from head to toe
But only emptiness the doctors found
So I engaged on a quest of Oneness
To help explain my little dreaming
That took me to the feet of Paramahansa Yogananda, the Dalai Lama, Ramana Maharshi,
Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, Mingyur Rinpoche, St Therese and St Teresa of Avila, Yeshe Tsogyal and Padmasambhava, Princess Mandarava to name a few
Only to find that I was the Ocean of Knowledge, hidden in a drop of dew
Aroused by the touch of this secret drop, I find myself here
In such splendid and magnificent company
Knowing that we are cared for until full enlightenment
For that then I now look to your hearts to foster growth and joy
As we leap over and cut through together
To the farther shore and what lies beyond

In immense gratitude
