Alice’s Restaurant . . . . Arlo Guthrie, an 18 minute story/song that defies easy description except it reflected the experiences of a generation, my generation, in several ways. It was also a decent movie. I was drafted in the military in 1967 and went through an induction physical at the same place as Guthrie, and one of the guys on the Group W Bench in the movie was a kid who used to beat me up in Junior High School. Great album with terrific songs on the B side too.
