Love the posting and the Nicholas Roerich painting used by Tolle for Inner Stillness.

•Job’s Tears: Christian Mysticism

We’re all still here, no one has gone away
Waiting, acting much too well and procrastinating

The cross of the earth, the four winds point them
Body to body sees to anoint them
The reed, they brought him sponge and vinegar
The fiery serpents spitting gold and cinnamon
The moon was bleeding and stars were shallow
And the sword that killed him was a sword of willow

Hello I must be going well I only came to say
I hear my mother calling and I must be on my way
Oh I remember it all from before

The winter and the midnight could not hold him
The fire could not burn him nor earth enfold him
Rise up Lazarus, sweet and salty
Brother soldiers, stop your gambling and talk to me
The thieves were stealers but reason condemned him
And the grave was empty where they had laid him

Hello I must be going well I only came to say
I hear my mother calling and I must be on my way
Oh I remember it all from before

Why heroes die at sunrise? Why the birds are arrows of the wise?
Why each perfumed flower? Why each moment has its hour?
It’s you, it’s all true

Stranger than that we’re alive, stranger than that, stranger than that
Stranger than that we’re alive
Whatever you think, it’s more than that, more than that
Happy man, happy man doing the best he can, doing the best he can
Happy man, happy man doing the best he can, doing the best he can
Oh happy man

Keep on walking where the angels showed
All will be one, all will be one
Traveling where the saints have trod
Over to the old golden land
The golden angel wrote my name
Over in the old golden land

I won’t need to kiss you when we’re there
All will be one, all will be one
I won’t need to miss you when we’re there
Over in the old golden land
The golden angel wrote my name
Over in the old golden land

We’ll understand it better in the sweet bye and bye
All will be one, all will be one
You won’t need to worry and you won’t have to cry
Over in the old golden land
The golden angel wrote my name
Over in the old golden land

•One of my Favorite Indian Music Videos

Indian movies viewed in India include immersive surround sound as everyone in the movie sings along since all the songs are well-known and played on the radio.

•Can’t beat Peter Gabriel “Shaking the Tree!”

Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree
Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree

Waiting your time
Dreaming of a better life
Waiting your time
You’re more than just a wife
You don’t want to do what your mother has done
She has done
This is your life
This new life has begun
It’s your day
A woman’s day
It’s your day
A woman’s day

Turning the tide
You are on the incoming wave
Turning the tide
You know you are nobody’s slave

Find your sisters or brothers who can hear all the truth in what you say
They can support you when you’re on your way

It’s your day
A woman’s day
It’s your day
A woman’s day

Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree
Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree

Changing your ways
Changing those surrounding you
Changing your ways
More than any man can do
Open your heart
Show him the anger and pain, so you heal
Maybe he’s looking for his womanly side
Let him feel

You had to be so strong
And you do nothing wrong
Nothing wrong at all
We’re gonna to break it down
We have to shake it down
Shake it all around

Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree
Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree
Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree
Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree

Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree
Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree

Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree
Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree
Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree
Souma Yergon, Sou Nou Yergon
We are shakin’ the tree

@SahasraraIm , I LOVE this one!

I was actually going to post this exact video yesterday, and it slipped my mind when I started thinking about other songs, you must have read my mind, or picked up something in the Ether.

Great minds think a like my friend

So good, really like how he says “Ah so, ah so”

Highly reccommend listening to this one after streching or yoga and before you do a meditation :slightly_smiling_face:

Stars - Ayla Nereo
Yes indeed. Ayla Nereo is one of the lesser known musical geniuses and poetic muses of our time. I’m posting more of her.

I love MC Yogi. That starts with a sample of Jai Uttal. Another great artist to check. Check out his Pagan Love Orchestra albums from the 90’s. Here’s a sample. Reggae meets jazz meets kirtan: Jai Uttal & the Pagan Love Orchestra - Shiva Station (Namah shivaya) - YouTube

Wow that’s quite a set of music videos. I loved it. This is actually a great idea - kind of like getting to play video DJ  Jahnavi Harrison with the Crystal bowls! What a voice! You can tell she’s really studied in that musical tradition and such devotion to Krishna and Radha! Radhe!
Also loved Krishna Das singing “Jesus on the Mainline.” I heard him do that at Bhakti Fest in California a few years ago. Rocked the house!

I didn’t knew this was a painting of Nicholas Roerich. I found out about him a few days ago as I was browsing my phone and found him mentioned in a photo from a photo expo at the Russian Cultural center in Bucharest.

Thank you for that!

Me too, that is amreally good one.

Agreed, added her to my playlist :slightly_smiling_face:

@_Barry I think it is really remarkable that he was deaf when he composed Ode to Joy.

My personal favorite of his songs, couldnt think of a more fitting title:

Would not say that he is a modern day Beethoven, but he has definitely got some major talent, one of my favorite modern day composers:

This whole album . . . . Saw the Stones twice in concert. First time Stevie Wonder was the opening act. Second time it was Tina Turner.

Tinna Tinh is a Vietnamese popular singer who suddenly remembered her past life as a Tibetan Lama. She then began to recall and chant Tibetan Buddhist mantras. Here is her Green Tara Mantra. You can find many more of her Mantra videos on youtube. There’s also a movie about her life.

From the Mountains of Tibet to the Bluegrass hill of Kentucky, Yungchen Lhamo, the great Tibetan singer jams with Peter Royan. Royan originally played for Bill Monroe and the Bluegrass Boys in the early 60’s, got psychelicized and then into spirituality in the late 60’s, played with the likes of Jerry Garcia and the rest is history. I got to see them play and sing together a few years ago at the Sedona Bluegrass Festival. Damn most spiritual Bluegrass Festival EVER! Yeah that good old Bluegrass-Buddhist Gospel Music you’ll ever hear! Where Padmasabbha comes ridin’ over them hills on this Windhorse! But it was in Sedona, you know them damn vortexes y’all?

And now for something completely different! This young Japanese electronic DJ is a Zen Buddhist Monk and wild vocalizer and singer. Check this dude out! It’s the Zen of beatboxing! He also does other beautiful videos of the Heart Sutra in Japanese. Great for listening to while drifting off into Sleep and Dream Land. May the Heart Sutra radiate through all dream worlds and beyond!

This video by Starling Arrow was just released today. They are my favorite female supergroup of singer songwriters consisting of Ayla Nereo, Marya Stark, Tina Malia and Leah Song & Chloe Smith of Rising Appalachia. This song is by Marya Stark During the pandemic lockdown this group of female singer-songwriters met online to write songs together with no expectation that they would ever record or release them, but thankfully they have decided to do so. Their first album is being released next month.

Also for more of Marya Stark check out this full length video album of songs that she created. It’s amazing!

@_Barry that song about Ganesha has some really good lyrics. Really liked the one about how he helps people enter the Inner Temple

Liked this quote a lot.

I get that vibe from her, and I wonder if that is the reason why she has not hit the mainstream, I kind of feel like many artists sacrifice their authenticy to make radio music, and eventually end up very unhappy down the road. Seems like she is taking the opposte path and stilly rocking it.

I like the original better, but I think they did a hell of a job on the remake:
