Yes I also think this is true. If thatās something you want. But there are some people who are uninterested in being in a partnered relationship. Thereās something call the aromantic spectrum. People on this spectrum generally donāt experience much romantic attraction to people or none at all. Youāll see some of these people posting in the comments of the video.
Iām aromantic. Like most aromantic people Iām uninterested in finding a partner. Not because itās too much of a bother to try to find something (though that certainly does come in a bit, why spend effort to attain something when you donāt even want it?), but because I donāt feel that having a partner would add anything to my life. Iām good as I am, being single.
Yes Iāve heard this. And itās a relief for me that I donāt have the desire or drive to look for a partner. It allows me to use my time for other pursuits- for me that mostly means sadhana. Not that Iām denigrating relationships here or the people that want to engage in them. Relationships can be beautiful, and they can be a spiritual path all on their own. They arenāt my spiritual path, however, and Iām content with that.
Agreed. And in American culture, which pushes and profits big from marriages, it does not make things easily for these individuals.
I had not heard of the term Aromantic before, appreciate you posting the link:
āThe aromantic spectrum refers to a romantic orientation that describes individuals who experience little to no romantic attraction to others. Aromantic individuals may or may not experience sexual attraction and are not exclusively asexual. Aromantic people do not desire romantic relationships and may engage in other forms of intimate relationships, including deep friendships, dating, and marriage.ā
Especially if you are in period of deep spiritual advancement or growth, romantic relationships can really derail your progress.
Amen
I believe this can be one of the most powerful spiritual paths if done correctly. The merging of two souls is a really beautiful thing, I am reminded of the Synergy equation of :
1 + 1 = INFINITY.
The reverse is also true, the merging of 2 egos, can get really really ugly, and make Divorce Attorneys and Therapists insanely rich.
āDuck and run, like many others on the album, deals with themes of perseverance, resilience, and overcoming adversity. The lyrics convey a message about not giving up or succumbing to fear despite the challenges and obstacles one might face.ā
"So you call this your free country
Tell me why it costs so much to live
Tell me why
This world can turn me down
But I wonāt turn away, oh no
I wonāt turn around
All my work and endless measures
Never seem to get me very far
Walk a mile just to move an inch now
Even though Iām trying so damn hard
Iām trying so hard
This world can turn me down
But I wonāt turn away
And I wonāt duck and run
'Cause Iām not built that way."
I just came from hearing Aleksi Campagne playing in a small cafe here in Olympia, WA. Heās from Montreal and layers multiple tracks of violin, vocals and mandolin using a loop pedal. Quite an amazing musician, singing in both English and French. He was recently declared Canadaās āFrancaphone Musician of the Year.ā
Help! Iām suddenly getting no sound on the videos on this website. If I open the videos on youtube I can get sound, so I know itās not a problem with my computer. As far as Iām aware I didnāt change any settings unless I clicked on something accidentally. If no one knows, I will contact the moderator, but thought maybe someone might know what happened.
The one linked above is the 2nd most popular on a new version of suno that was just released a day or two ago.
I was so impressed I subscribed to get access to the AI that made the song. The first one I made is a compilation of mantras. I worked with ChatGPT4 on the lyrics in sanskrit then put them into suno to make this song:
Making that song took me about 15 minutes. Pretty incredible stuff!
Going to be putting a lot of time and effort into making musical mantras and converting the poetry I wrote with AI into music this upcoming week .
Also, about AI taking over a lot of things. We frequently discuss the godself etc. Through AI (a sad translation of our true self, I admit) I feel we are reconnecting to a piece of that divine nature in a way this world will accept.
It has been lost around this neck of the woods for a very long time. AI should come with a warning label, may be harmful to the ego .
