Yes me too. The climax scene where he wins the art competition makes me tear up every time.
I was playing āBe Thou My Visionā the other day, and the last line of the first stanza really struck me:
āBe Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
be all else but naught to me, save that Thou art;
be Thou my best thought in the day and the night,
both waking and sleeping, Thy presence my light.ā
God is the awareness present both in waking and sleeping, in all states of consciousness.

Good travels David!
May the grace of God bless man
And every woman in this land
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Whatever comes to meet us?
No the darkness wonāt defeat us
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Some say the end has come
ā¦
But I say stay strong keep your faith alive
Letās all come together
Take care of each other
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Raise your hand through the air
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Take a stand say a pray
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Hand in hand side by side
With hearts opened wide
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Brothers find a way through Heaven today
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Raise your hand through the air
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Take a stand say a pray
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Times like these
We need to remember what is real
Stay strong keep your faith alive
⦠just bring love and happiness
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Raise your hands in the air
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Take a stand say a pray
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Raise your hand through the air
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Take a stand say a pray
Stay strong keep your faith alive
Amen!

And hereās more:
From the Album āSufi Dreamsā. Last Chapter- Dream of Dreams:
Sounds like South African music!
Now that you mention it, it does have that bright guitar sound you hear a lot in sub-Saharan African music.
Yes, especially listen to guitar players from South Africa. They have a unique style and Krishna Dass is drawing on that sound. Or so it sounds to me.
This is the type of South African sound Iām referring to. This is Malathini and the Mahotella Queens:
You can also hear this sound in Paul Simonās South African based āGracelandā album:
Seems to me that Krishna Das is riffing on this sound in the above song, both with the guitar style and the type of female vocals. Sorry, Iām a bit of a world music nerd.
