I was playing āBe Thou My Visionā the other day, and the last line of the first stanza really struck me:
āBe Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
be all else but naught to me, save that Thou art;
be Thou my best thought in the day and the night,
both waking and sleeping, Thy presence my light.ā
God is the awareness present both in waking and sleeping, in all states of consciousness.

Yes, especially listen to guitar players from South Africa. They have a unique style and Krishna Dass is drawing on that sound. Or so it sounds to me.

Seems to me that Krishna Das is riffing on this sound in the above song, both with the guitar style and the type of female vocals. Sorry, Iām a bit of a world music nerd.
