@ 26:00 thereabouts he mentions the book, 'Feel the Fear:Do it Anyway" which is a fine one, plus the author narrates the audio book, which I found useful to share several years ago.

I think I have mentioned this passage before, it made its way into the sermon tonight. The power of precognitive dreams:

Deadhead Buddhism
“You Are the Eyes of the World”
I haven’t read this book yet, but it is about Longchempa’s Vajrayana philosophy and the title is based on a Grateful Dead song. I just came across this review and it sounds interesting:

I’m posting the Grateful Dead song and lyrics in the “Music that Moves You” thread.

Amen

Have you read this passage?:

Very powerful:

:exploding_head:
"4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God.

3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God; and such is the spirit of Antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come, and even now already it is in the world.

4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

5 They are of the world; therefore they speak of the world, and the world heareth them.

6 We are of God; he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby we know the Spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and every one that loveth is born of God and knoweth God.

8 He that loveth not, knoweth not God, for God is love.

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us: that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.

10 Herein is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and His love is perfected in us.

13 Hereby we know that we dwell in Him and He in us: because He hath given us of His Spirit.

14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.

15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath for us. God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

19 We love Him, because He first loved us.

20 If a man say, “I love God,” and hateth his brother, he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

21 And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loveth God love his brother also.

Angelo Dilullo had a spontaneous awakening in his early 20’s while reading a book about Zen Buddhism. This was after several years of practicing TM meditation. He didn’t speak about it, but just went about living his life, went on to med school and became an anaesthesiologist. In recent years he has come out to the world as a spiritual teacher. Here’s a taste of his dharma teaching.

ZDoggMD is the youtube name for a Medical Doctor who started out doing humorous youtube medical rap videos. He then started doing medical education videos and eventually got into spirituality when he read a book by Angelo DiLullo, who is also a doctor (anaesthesiologist) who had became enlightened through a spontaneous spiritual awakening in his 20’s. ZDogg (aka Zubin) read his book, went to one of his retreats and had, at least an initial experience of awakening.

Here’s the first of a series of interviews he did with Angelo DiLullo. Excellent descriptions of the spiritual awakening process by someone whose been through it.

After his awakening, however, his wife (who had had no interest in spirituality and is also a doctor) couldn’t relate to what he was going through at all. Angelo suggested that they have an awakened woman named Suzanne Chang (she also has a bunch of youtube videos) come for a visit and hang out with he and his wife for a week. He did so and his wife really liked her and then his wife had an awakening! Here’s the video of ZDogg discussing this with Angelo:

Here’s an interview he did with Suzanne Chang during her visit (and right after his wife’s awakening):

A fascinating tale of spiritual awakenings in 21st Century America!

Dont know anything about angels or guides, but thought the advice made sense, and like that she stressed the importance of meditations and routine check ins.

Liked what she said too:

@BlessingsDeers I think you will like what she says at the 11:45 mark of the video about intuition.

"Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.

Always give a word or sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, or even a stranger, if in a lonely place. Show respect to all people, but grovel to none. When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength. Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason to give thanks, the fault lies in yourself. Touch not the poisonous firewater that makes wise ones turn to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

-Tecumseh"

@Bucket , here is the bible passage:

Knowing God Through Love

7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Seeing God Through Love

12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him."
1 John 4:7-16
New King James Version

Vulgate:

" carissimi diligamus invicem quoniam caritas ex Deo est et omnis qui diligit ex Deo natus est et cognoscit Deum

Dearly beloved, let us love one another: for charity is of God. And every one that loveth is born of God and knoweth God.

He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is charity.

By this hath the charity of God appeared towards us, because God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we may live by him.

In this is charity: not as though we had loved God, but because he hath first loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.

My dearest, if God hath so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abideth in us: and his charity is perfected in us.

In this we know that we abide in him, and he in us: because he hath given us of his spirit.

14 et nos vidimus et testificamur quoniam Pater misit Filium salvatorem mundi

And we have seen and do testify that the Father hath sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15 quisque confessus fuerit quoniam Iesus est Filius Dei Deus in eo manet et ipse in Deo

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abideth in him, and he in God.

And we have known and have believed the charity which God hath to us. God is charity: and he that abideth in charity abideth in God, and God in him.

In this is the charity of God perfected with us, that we may have confidence in the day of judgment: because as he is, we also are in this world.

Fear is not in charity: but perfect charity casteth out fear, because fear hath sin. And he that feareth is not perfected in charity.

19 nos ergo diligamus quoniam Deus prior dilexit nos

Let us therefore love God: because God first hath loved us.

If any man say: I love God, and hateth his brother; he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother whom he seeth, how can he love God whom he seeth not?

And this commandment we have from God, that he who loveth God love also his brother."
