Turns out, that the bards (bardos is the original Celtic word) are poets who preserved the legends and great deeds of their ancestors, which they transmitted to the people, accompanied by the sound of a 5-string lyre.

Pretty amazing, books like the Iliad and Odyssey were memorized by heart by these traveling bards

How is this possible?

Greek and Latin ancient poetry was written in meter, which gave a musical quality to the words without rhymes.

I once asked Andrew how important Memory was in Buddhism and he said it was monumentally important, for a number of reasons.
