I’m developing a novel application (as far as I can tell, it’s unique) that leverages a Bluetooth earbud to provide real-time fact-checking during conversations. Users activate the listening mode with a button press on their phone. The app works by capturing audio in short, half-second segments, uploading and reconstructing them for transcription. This transcribed text is then sent to ChatGPT for analysis and fact-checking. Any discrepancies are relayed to the user via the earbud in real time.
Additionally, I’m incorporating a “role-playing mode” activated by a button press. When enabled, this mode suggests relevant phrases in real-time that will make the user become 90% more pirate like.

For real though. One of the reasons I let AI have fun with him in this post (I told AI to mirror his tone and language):

Also, back to the app. When I finish the app I will be posting it open source free free to any that wants it.
Doesn’t look like much at the moment but it took me many hours to get my app a to do live transcription on my phone. That is the backbone, background process for it. The next portion is lots of fun. I’m looking forward to working on it for many hours tomorrow (I have off from work).
