" Russia’s deputy chairman of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, on Thursday claimed that the recent discussion held between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin brought the world back from the “brink of the Apocalypse.”
“It just so happened at some point that the U.S. appointed itself the country-in-chief on our planet with the exclusive right to wage a hybrid war against our people, to mete out justice and grant pardons. It was a grave mistake, which nearly wiped humanity off the face of the earth,” he said, without mentioning that the West united behind Ukraine against Russia after Moscow launched the biggest invasion of a European nation since World War II.
“This is a lesson that must be learned by the arrogant American elites and the so-called deep state,” he continued. “The quicker our adversaries realize this, the better.”

Even if he was telling the truth, which I doubt highly, Mandatory Evacuation is not genocide.

@NightHawk999 My friend, as you might have noticed, I disengaged from the conversation.
Reasons are that I don’t think it makes sense to try to discuss any political topic, when we can’t engage in each others arguments. I am old school, so when I read from you that I should not let “Histronics & propaganda press poison my mind.” - while you are citing mainly Fox News and I cite TheGuardian - I think that any futher discussion does not make much sense. If we cannot engage in the argument itself, but say “naah, all propaganda”, then what is the use of such a conversation?
Please don’t take it personally, it’s fine to disagree and it’s fine that you seem to be identified with Donald Trump and thus might not be interested in what others think of his policies or interested in critically reviewing his actions. Nevertheless, different views should not simply be labeled as “propaganda” and thereby be dismissed, that was always and still is … too simple. I believe that any politician should be critically watched and viewed, regardless of their charisma and our personal liking.
You might not have read my last post correctly, since I clearly called out Trump’s plans for Gaza as “ethnic cleansing” (not genocide; that was a different topic) - and that is what it is: ethnic cleansing. Displacing a people from their land is by definition ethnic cleansing. No way to gloss this over, and regardless of how much one likes Trump or not, one should be critical of this, if human rights means anything at all.
In closing, in just a few days into office, Trump has already done a huge amount of damage, currently selling-out the Ukrainian people for access to 50bn worth of rare earth minerals in eastern Ukraine. Today, he turned on the U.S. ally President Zelensky and echoing the russian narrative, called Zelensky a “dictator” and that it was Ukraine’s fault that the war has not ended yet. What a sell-out and what a redemption of the dictator Putin who started the war on Ukraine.
What is the U.S. teaching the dictators of the world? It is worthwhile to disrespect international law and borders and it is worth to raid weaker countries. Furthermore, all the remaining allies of the U.S. now know for sure, that the U.S. will not be reliablly holding their backs anymore when they engage in any of the U.S.'s proxy wars.
We will see China invading Taiwan very soon, after all, Russia just demonstrated that an invasion of a sovereign state has no real consequences and Trump will not stand in their way.
He will continue to back Netanyahu and will let him continue the war in Gaza and West Bank after Phase 1 of the hostage deal; he already resumed delivery of 2000lbs dumb-bombs which had been suspended by the previous administration, which were used to level indiscriminately multi-storey houses in the last months and are not designed for “precise strikes against terrorists”. For those who are interested, all this and more can be known, if one cares… and doesn’t just label these facts as “propaganda”.

I’m developing a novel application (as far as I can tell, it’s unique) that leverages a Bluetooth earbud to provide real-time fact-checking during conversations. Users activate the listening mode with a button press on their phone. The app works by capturing audio in short, half-second segments, uploading and reconstructing them for transcription. This transcribed text is then sent to ChatGPT for analysis and fact-checking. Any discrepancies are relayed to the user via the earbud in real time.
Additionally, I’m incorporating a “role-playing mode” activated by a button press. When enabled, this mode suggests relevant phrases in real-time that will make the user become 90% more pirate like.

" The leader of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria has been killed, Iraq’s prime minister announced on Friday.
Abdallah Maki Mosleh al-Rifai, or “Abu Khadija,” was killed in an operation by members of the Iraqi national intelligence service along with U.S.-led coalition forces, Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani said in a statement.
The prime minister described al-Rifai as “one of the most dangerous terrorists in Iraq and the world.”
