I walked into Trader Joe’s with a painting I’m working on covered up.
The cashier asked if he could see it.
I said I’d love to show him but painting is a form of magic and it’s best to keep the piece hidden until it’s finished, otherwise the viewer can interfere with the working.
I asked him on a scale of 1-10 how eccentric did that sound.
He gave me a solid 7
