The religious life is so beautiful . Iโm in the beginning steps of entering an order myself. Possessions are burdens, and taking a vow of poverty is a way to be free of them. This friar explains it well:
This is so cool. Iโm sure she was a sister. I feel you were led before hand to view the video so that when you met her you would know who she was and you could be of help to her.
Major love for this. So beautiful. You have a good heart, learn to trust it and it will guide you safely on the path.
Amen. There is no more beautiful thing in this word in my opinion. People like this provide an anchor for us among the miseries, torments, anxieties and distractedness of the world.
Very true, there is great liberation in poverty. I think, if done right, it can greatly accelerate ones Spiritual path. It has a way of cutting through the โcrapโ of life, and focusing on what really matters.
I am very glad you picked up on this, this was my thoughts exactly! These 1 in a million types of Synchs are so powerful and so meaningful. I believe God speaks in these signs all day long to us, and at night in our dreams if we are careful listeners.
This is another reason why I reccomended you doing the day review, and trying to catch as many details as possible. It trains the mind to not brush off seemingly arbitrary things, and deeply pay attention to what is going on around us at all times.
This morning I saw a red tailed hawk in a tree, got to hear 5 female ducks making muttering noises that sounded like hamsters (never heard that before, I wasnt listening close enough!), and saw a hummingbird flying around a Blue Spruce tree for 3-5min (longest I have ever seen them), it was licking the sap from the needles or branches I think.
After that I saw a car with the bumper sticker
Pray, Hope, Believe
I meditated on what its meaning might be, and if there was deeper layers to it.
Conclusion:
The best prayers are done from a place of deep heart and deep conviction that through God anything is possible.
Thank you for saying this, but I think you may be projecting dear Sibling
AMEN
I think what they lack in numbers, they make up for with quality of heart. Its so beautiful to see when these souls come out of the woodwork when evil rears its ugly head or in times of great need.
Iโm grateful for midnight hours spent in prayer, for the beauty of the moon at night, for always getting another chance to be a better person every single day.
I am grateful for cloudless blue skies, for those brief moments of silence on a busy road when there is a lull in traffic, for morning breakfasts and morning prayer.
