Drums . . . .
Yup, pretty intense drumming. I met Mike Portonoy in person one time at a Red Robin, got him to autograph a post it note for me and i framed with it one of his posters. He lives in the same area I do.
A favorite past time was watching drummers on YouTube. Still go back now and then.
Cobus is definitely my favorite, search through his covers there are so many good ones:
Kristina is pretty good too:
And Meytal Cohan is a beast on the drums (girls rock ):
So many other good drummers on YouTube in every genre possible.
Krishna Das on Kirtan. Interview for the Heart/Mind institute summit on Expanded Consciousness. Posted today (4/26), won’t be up for long. Performs a Kirtan at around 32:30.
And this song played on pandora as a related song/artist. It is probably the hardest rock song I vibe to at this time.
Some of the lyrics I like in the song:
"There’s no tomorrow,
Life is but an echo.
Love becomes a symptom,
Of the cure.
I’d pull the sun from the sky,
To freeze the future of time,
And drift as one through the infinite.
I found asylum inside,
Your armageddon eyes.
The only way to win is to reconnect,
Stay alive, stay alive,
Walk with me to the edge,
My heart is yours till we meet again."

Sorta after my time but some enjoyable tunes!
•From my time:
•Can you catch the references?
•When I looked like Chevy Chase
•Paul Simon and Mickey Mantle. How do you beat that?
I am -Satsang
“See there are lies in the facets of everything that we see
That are telling us to be scared, when all we ever are is free”
In the competition for The Best Slow-Dance song ever:
and this one, with music by my fraternity brother’s brother . . .
*spoiler alert, if you havent seen the movies, dont watch, it gives away some of the endings.
The Editing is really well done, along with the synced music, some of the songs are from the movies, tried to find the names of the ones that were not, but coiuld not. If you all can, would love to know them.
Pretty moving:
" Don’t be too proud of this technological terror you’ve constructed. The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force."
I like the first one better, but both are pretty good
