🎵 Music That Moves You

Been enjoying this song for over 3 weeks now, reason I didn’t share it right away is there are a bunch of lyrics that don’t really fit within my experience. Copied some of the lyrics I like in it:

Feels like every day’s the same
Chemicals inside my brain
Make me think I’m in a simulation
Nothing ever seems to change
And it’s written on my face
Am I living in my own creation?

Is this all a dream?
Tell me, is it make-believe?

Rare that I find a new song to enjoy, this is one of them but it falls short of complete fulfillment becausesome of the lyrics don’t resonate with me.

Rooster, snake, and pig…

Tough topic. I think the songs were targeted at Chris Brown.

Starting to feel like I’m in a celestial petting zoo. Hope I don’t start strutting like a rooster or lounging like a pig soon .

Dreamwork with Metallica:
I recently dreamed that I was hanging out with the members of Metallica. When I awoke and reflected on this dream, I was somewhat surprised, as I was never a fan. I was always more inclined to softer, more melodic and harmonious music, like folkie singer-songwriters and stuff with a “spiritual vibe.” This got me thinking about Jung’s idea of the Shadow. The Shadow is the aspects of the psyche that the ego rejects and says “that’s not me, I don’t really like that kind of person, or music or whatever”. . . so I ended up doing some “shadow work” by putting on some of Metallica’s loudest and hard-edged music and dancing around my living room to it and feeling the essence of it in my body and my movements. It felt very powerful and grounding with lots of punches and jabs. Definitely felt some power that I had previously repressed. Time to bring more Metallica energy into my life!

This is Metallica performing in Seattle in '89. I lived in Seattle then but you would have never found me at this show. So now I’m checking out what I missed.

Breaking Benjamin performed several intimate shows in their hometown area after Ben Burnley won the rights to the band’s music. This was part of their preparations for their upcoming larger tours. Ben isn’t fond of extensive travel and prefers traveling only by bus when necessary. Fortunately for my wife and I, who are fans of Breaking Benjamin, we live in the same area as the band.

While they were prepping for their comeback tours we had the chance to see them perform a small acoustic set at the hotel where we are currently staying. It felt appropriate to post one of their songs.

Very talented singer :slightly_smiling_face:!
