My Friend Morpheus Visits

@Bucket,

When emotions like these arise for me, I don’t avoid them. Instead, I dive as deeply as I can into them. Your experience happens to be aligning with my current exploration into my dark shadow. This journey for me isn’t stemming from emotion or a place of imbalance; it naturally fell into place due to some synchronicities I’ve been noticing in the world.

My advice might be against the norm, but I’d suggest taking this time to absorb as much of this energy as you can and dive deep into your dark shadow. I was very surprised what I found doing this kind of work and think you may be surprised at what can be found in the darkest corners of our minds as well.

When I do this kind of work I generally surround myself with things that evoke strong emotions and choose an artistic outlet to express them. In the past, I’ve listened to music and then used creating music on Suno.com as my outlet. For another example, my journey this time is fueled by thoughts of nuclear war and the careless destruction of our oceans caused by greed and ignorance.

Also, hearing your emotions around your passing pup has resonated with me, as I believe all dogs should live forever. When they don’t, it feels like the world is out of balance. I’m rather attached to the deity Anubis and have had many profound experiences with dogs, including helping one of my puppies through their bardo after they passed. I can assure you they are waiting on the other side for us; I’ve seen enough to believe that fully. Friends on the other side helped guide me through her bardo process, as it seems I’ve forgotten how to do this and many other things upon incarnating here.

Me with my puppers when I got her:

In her glory days:

Celebrating her 15th birthday:

One of the many cool things she was capable of:

I bought a lamp for Pan at KTD to ensure the bardo process is done properly. I believe that with KTD, Pan is in good hands, and I hope you do not take any offense to me donating for Pan to have proper guidance. I attended a retreat at KTD once, and the synchronistic nature of the entire retreat demonstrated to me the depth of their practice.

Anyway, all this to say that I recommend diving into your dark shadow and using a creative outlet like art or something.

Reminds me of Andrew Holecheck describing his scuba experience, where the surface experience was chaotic, rumbling, wavy and turbulent. So as he dove and went deeper the environment got more peaceful until as he went to the “ground” at the bottom, all was calm. He always talks about going deeper and embracing that shadow.

This part resonated with me, seems like there may be some powerful; messages in its depth.

I have witnessed I skyrocketing rise in negative prejudice towards the Trans community. A few years ago, I warned many of my Liberal and Democratic friends to be very careful with how they push the Trans agenda, bc if they shove it in childrens’ faces, or infringe on the rights of biological women, they would set the Trans agenda back years, or even decades. My words fell on deaf ears, and now transphobia is at its highest levels its been in decades or (possibly) ever.

Its important to remember it takes 2 to Tango. This rise in negative prejudice didnt come from a vacuum. I think if there was more strategic tact used to promote Trans awareness, rather than using a Bull Dozer or Wrecking ball, this exponential rise in prejudice would not have taken place. It is very heart breaking to see many innocent Trans people having to punished bc of some bad policy decisions made by big donors at the highest levels of the democratic party. Now even many Democrats are even turning to transphobia, and turning on their own party. This infighting is so toxic for the party, and toxic for the country. A healthy America needs both parties to be strong, truth tellers, and promoting the agenda of the majority of the people in their parties, not lobbyists, big donors, or special interests.

You will, nothing is forever.

Absolutely

AMEN

Yes the non lucid dreams are just as important, sometimes more so.

I am very sorry to hear this. When these tragedies hit, I have found it is best to avoid social media, and the news media. When emotions are raw, sometimes we look to vent them on the external environment (sometimes justifiably, sometimes not).

This is a very powerful dream, these false awakenings are mind-blowing, and I think have powerful lessons to teach about waking up. Was a big wake up call for me that the Spiritual path would not be an unchalleging trouble free ‘walk in the park’…:

I know you are a good person, a spiritual practitioner, trying to open your heart to compassionate and love for all sentient beings. Please keep that in mind as you read what I write below. I’m not trying to attack you or say you are a bad person. I’m just responding to what you wrote from my own experience as a trans person.

What you wrote is very similar to a lot of the victim blaming trans people are experiencing today, mostly from right wing groups. There is no “trans agenda”. There is no collective plan to push “transgenderism” on children or to take away the rights of cisgendered women. I know, as a trans person myself I would have been informed if there was one. These notions are complete straw men. They are lies used to incite hatred against transgendered people for votes. If you can make people fear another group of people and portray yourself as the person who is going to protect them from those people, you can get people susceptible to such tactics to vote for you. It doesn’t matter that the fears you create in these people are completely unfounded, or that what you told these people to make them fear these people are lies. It works, as we saw in the election. A lot of people are willing to listen to such things without thinking about them critically.

If you look at what is actually happening, children are absolutely not being transitioned against their will, or the will of their parents. They aren’t being “taught to be trans” (being trans is not a decision- you can’t become trans if you aren’t already trans). There are children of course with gender dysphoria. Such cases are overwhelmingly handled non-invasively by prescribing puberty blockers. And only for children whose puberty has already started. Puberty blockers simply block the sex hormones that start the process of puberty, a process which is extremely distressing for children with gender dysphoria. They prevent secondary sexual characteristics from developing. They can be stopped at any time at which point the puberty process will start up again. This is by far the preferred method for dealing with such cases.

Gender transitions for children are very few and far between. They are done in the cases of children with extreme gender dysphoria and always with the permission of the parents or guardians. This is only done for children post-puberty, however. There are absolutely no cases of pre-pubescent children being given gender transition therapies. Young Children Do Not Receive Medical Gender Transition Treatment - FactCheck.org

Transgendered people are literally some of the most vulnerable people alive today. I don’t think people who believe the conspiracies theories about them understand that. If they did, they would have compassion for them instead of hating them. Many people don’t understand what it is like to be trans. To wake up every dating hating your body. Feeling incredibly intense distress every day because of the way you look, or characteristics of your body you can’t change such as your breasts- or lack of breasts, your genitals, your body hair, your beard- or lack of beard, your Adam’s apple, etc. To get that jolt of badness every time someone treats you as a member of the gender you don’t feel yourself to be inside. Trans people have to deal with a lot. It’s all incredibly overwhelming. And many receive no support at all. The opposite, in fact. Many live with families who believe them to be some sort of freak.

Here are some videos about what gender dysphoria is like:

Mental health is very poor in trans people for these reasons and for the discrimination we often experience. Trans people are six times more likely to have a mood or anxiety disorder than the general population. They are three times as likely to be prescribed antidepressants and antianxiety medications. They are more than six times as likely to attempt suicide resulting in hospitalization. Transgender individuals at greater risk of mental health problems < Yale School of Public Health

Added to the struggles of gender dysphoria, we also have to deal with overwhelming prejudice from the general population. We have to read every day about new anti-trans laws being passed. We have to deal with families that say transphobic things to our faces, or kick us out onto the streets for being trans. We get called all kinds of names reinforcing that people see us as freaks, perverts and deviants. With all this it’s no wonder the trans community is one of the mostly vulnerable communities to death by suicide.

Gender affirming care improves mental health for trans people significantly. That’s why a lot of trans people wish to transition. Gender-affirming Care Saves Lives | Columbia University Department of Psychiatry

These are the people who supposedly have an “agenda” to “trans children” and all the other ridiculous nonsense. They are in pain, they are hurting, and as they look out in the world today they are increasingly seeing less and less faces showing kindness, understanding and love and more and more faces full of hate and revulsion.

Our only “agenda” is to be allowed to do what we can to better our mental health, to transition (if that’s what we want to do, not every trans person transitions), to make ourselves feel better in our bodies, and to receive a basic modicum of respect from the general public. That’s all. It’s not much but apparently even that is too much.

I don’t like to get political. I’ve avoided it so far here in this community. But I felt it is important to let people know what the LGBTQ+ community is struggling with right now, and why. I’m hoping this is a place where people can listen to other people’s truth with empathy and compassion.

I’ve been doing this. Trying not to run away from the feelings. Just letting myself feel them instead. Trying to hold them in awareness.

By energy do you mean the energy locked up in the negative feelings?

A beautiful idea. Maybe I have been doing a bit of this recently. i have been crocheting a lot and it’s been helping work through the emotions.

Same. It sucks that dogs don’t live as long as humans. That’s beautiful that you extended your care to the bardo states helping them through. Yes I am finding this experience very profound. I’m feeling my heart more open than it has been in a while as I help Pan navigate the bardos, do tonglen for him, dedicate merits to him. I feel like I still have a meaningful relationship with him. It’s bringing a lot of richness into my life that I am grateful for.

A beautiful girl! I laughed at the video. She seems like she was a very vibrant and happy dog.

No offense taken! In fact I am very grateful for your generosity. Because I’m poor I haven’t had much of a chance to do retreats or even form a relationship with a practice center. So I’m happy that you commissioned the lamp for Pan at a center that really speaks to you where you feel they really practice dharma.

Thank you! I will take this to heart. I know there is a lot of richness in the shadow. I know it offers a lot if we are willing to face it. This is work I want to do.

This is not true.
All voices in politics, and contributing to policy making, have an Agenda.

Compassion without Wisdom is not Compassion, and often ends up hurting more people than it was trying to help:

Officials Under Fire After 2 Rapes Tied to Trans Bathroom Policy in Loudoun County

If you wanted to pin point where in the Zeitgeist Trans prejudice started to accelorate, Loudoun County in Virginia would be the case study to dissect. It was a National scandal that ended up turning the state from Blue to Red in the Primaries, with Glen Younkin campaigning heavily on this issue and school policy.

If cisgendered teenage girls are getting raped in school bathrooms because of changes in school policy, cisgendered girls rights are being taken away.

I deeply care about the welfare of Trans people, and I hate that the negative prejudice towards them has skyrocketed over the past 4 years. I wouldnt take the time to write this if I didnt. Most Trans people I dont think are behind the political policies and agendas that have caused so much hatred and backlash towards them. I think it is only a handfull of big donors, and political activists that have really hurt things.

Nothing is ever black and white. Its never as simple as that. There are victims and oppressors on both sides of the equation. Here is another case study that recieved national media coverage, and I believe significantly contributed to the rise in negative prejudice towards trans people:

BREAKING: Nashville shooter identified as transgender, was former student: police

During the first 2 years of the Biden administration, there were increased attack on churches, vandalism, graffeti, arson, and in this heartbreaking case study, 3 children under the age of 10, and 3 adults lost their freedoms and their rights to a school shooter.

“Seven Fingers, Seven Victims”: TN Capitol Protesters Appear to Include Trans Shooter Among Victims

This protest happened days after the attack. I dont think all the bodies of the victims had been burried yet. Whoever organized this horrific protest shot the Trans agenda in the foot. I am not saying the shooter wasnt a victim, but what these protestors did was on par with Westboro church protesting at soldiers funerals.

I hope so too.
I hate the hatred and hate the fact that Media on both sides of the political spectrum only covers certain truths, and certain lies.

Trans and LGBTQ+ peoples deserve love, respect and compassion.
When fighting for rights, I think the path of Dr. King is a far smarter, wiser, and more strategic methodology to win the ‘war’, rather than Malcom X’s more aggressive approach.

There is great social injustice towards Transgendered people. The silver lining is, I think Awareness is at an all time high, 20 years ago, this was not a topic talked about, now almost everyone basically knows that these people are members of all socieites, and play an important role in the fabric of humanity, and have done so throughout history! Thats a giant leap forward!

In my opionion, the GREATEST social injustice of our time is human slavery and child sex trafficing. 2 huge issues that the Democratic party was not only silent on in this past election cycle. Whether knowingly or unknowling, these democratic policies put in place drastically increased these horrific attrocities toward humanity.

Human trafficing and child sex trafficing should be a bipartisan issue at the top of the agendas for both the Republican and Democratic parties. If you took the summation of all the suffering from human trafficing, and compared it to the summation of suffering encountered by LGTBQ peoples, I dont think its hyperbole to say it would be like comparing the size of the Moon to the size of a Watermelon. Thats not trying to overlook or minimize the sufferings of the latter, but to shed light on the most profound social injustices of the generation (century?!?!?!) being overlooked or taking a back seat by politicians and political agendas around the world.

Not saying these are not truth statements, I dont know the future, but my intuition and wisdom believes this will not happen (the probability is closer to 0, than 100%). I base this on the past Fear mongering campaigns that poisened the minds of many people (this video is at least 7 years old, and BK is a liberal democrat):

For me everything is energy. Energy is present all around us people, posts, animals, computers, phones even tables. When something enters my presense I consider it a reflection or aspect of myself in some way. Existence is a very large place and engaging with all that enters your present moment is important.

Your reaction doesn’t have to be pre programmed and generic. For example when I see happiness around me it raises my spirits, the universe often comes through with its beautiful humor, talking to my thoughts directly through other peoples conversations. It is what naturally comes to them and it puts me in a state of awe constantly.

When there is negativity, I always yield. People often do not understand they are arguing with their self. This is probably expressed best through the next two pictures .

Spot on :+1::+1:. Great outlet. Maybe listen to some music, meditations or whatever you can use to help engage even deeper with any emotions that arise while crocheting.

No need, it is said all of Buddha’s teachings are in Om Mani Padme Hum. Simplicity is the name of the game.

You claim to be concerned with the welfare of trans people- and I believe you when you say that. However you also parrot transphobic talking points, such as that trans people are raping women in bathrooms (not true: 15 Experts Debunk Right-Wing Transgender Bathroom Myth | Media Matters for America), and that there some political cabal trying to force “transgenderism” down people’s throats. Neither is true. Politicians who support trans rights aren’t trying to force anything on anyone, they just support policies that allow trans people better access to gendering affirming care, or easier ways to legally change their names. And to protect trans people from discrimination, which is something everybody deserves. That’s it.

You are saying that some bad actors in the trans community or among liberal politicians are at fault for the overwhelming amount of discrimination transgendered people face. This is also is not true. The true culprit is malicious disinformation by right-wing politicians and pundits who makes up lies about trans people and spread conspiracy theories about them. You’ve even posted material here in the past from these right-wing disinformation sources that are 100% known to be transphobic, such as Tucker Carlson. That led to a member leaving because they felt unwelcome. I can understand why.

This type of argument is just a more sophisticated way of saying “it’s trans peoples’ fault people hate them.” Imagine someone saying bad actors in the Jewish community created the prejudice that ended up in a million Jews murdered in Nazi Germany, or that women are routinely given lower wages, called misogynist slurs, have to worry about their safety when out alone at night, and are raped because “bad actor” feminists incite hatred against them. All while not acknowledging the role anti-semitism and sexism played and plays in the violence directed against these two demographics. These types of arguments are just a way to absolve bigots from their bigotry. Bigots do not deserve to be absolved from their bigotry!

I think I will take a break from here for a while. At least until Pan’s 49 days are done. I don’t have the emotional bandwidth right now to spend time and energy pushing back against the incredible amount of disinformation and lies that are being promulgated against trans people. I need to focus on Pan’s needs.

I dont believe TC to be transphobic.

Not true.
My point I was trying to make was bad policy decisions in the recent years have drastically fanned the flames of hatred toward trans people. If you care about trans people, this is important to understand.

Never, can you see any bigotry in your words?

" a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group."

My goal was to try to help you understand your ‘perceived enemy’. Not to try to change your belief system. If you dont know the people you are ‘at war with’ or your perceived enemies, it makes winning ‘battles and wars’ that much more difficult.

Our perceptions of reality are dreams and nightmares. If one does not use EXTREME tact when trying to wake people up,then these slumbers can end catastrophiclly:
