Thank you for all the information on the Phoenix symbol. I always keep an eye out for stuff like this and I was surprised too that they chose the Phoenix as the villian.
I like the idea you mentioned about the Phoenix having both light and dark aspects. Possibly when the Phoenix rises, or ignites the fire is the process of transmutation and cleansing.
Interesting stuff. I have heard a lot of good things about Andrew’s book ‘Reverse Meditations’. Hope you enjoy.
Its a simple guide to potential contentment in this lifetime and eventual freedom from the birth rebirth cycle if that’s a personal motivation, although I dont get too far ahead of myself.
Distancing from the mind is a way to realise that we are “not the body and not the mind” we are something more. Observing our thoughts rather than being our thoughts is also a great way to calm the chattering mind leading to a peaceful state.
It takes some time though and, again, meditation is the key.
I would say that synchronicities are:
» The Higher Intelligence (or Love) saying something like “You are having so much fun… I also wanna play”
And here are some beautiful synchronicities connected with you:
I facilitated my first week long retreat about dreams (from the 23rd to the 30th October) in beautiful Pico @ Azores, and…
I had an assistant teacher:
Picolin, a red haired stallion
And two yoga teachers (one of them with red hair) who both said that people often say (to both of them) that they have the energy of the phoenix.
They shared this on the last day. We celebrated with fire, I took a picture and saw a phoenix in the fire:
Hello Vanda @BlessingsDeers so lovely to see you here, missed you. But understand the reasons & going to reply on your other post.
Thanks for sharing this very interesting subject. The painting is beautiful, so captures the subjects description: “Every night for a 1,000 years (500BC -500AD) sick and afflicted pilgrims flocked to the Grecian Temples of Asclepius. Healing and advice were sought during dream visitations by the ancient God of Medicine.”
Robert Moss blog article was highly informative! Throughout, it never mentions lucid dreaming, adding to my theory that non lucid dreams are just as important.
"As Ed Tick noted, the name Asklepios evokes “a tradition of holistic healing that was prized in the ancient world for two thousand years, a tradition in which dreams are regarded as epiphanies through which communication is opened between humans and divine powers.”.
"The dog, the second Asklepian animal ally, is the guide of souls and guardian of passage to the Underworld in many traditions, the friendliest of animals to man, and a primary “bridge to nature” in many lives, ancient and contemporary. "
Loved the “dog” story Robert tells.
I too have a story about a dog I use to look after. Sid a tall grey Deer Hound I’d take for walks and people use to stop & talk to us. I started noticing he would lean his body to touch the person legs or sit on their feet. People we passed, some sitting on park bench he would pull me to go to them. I’d carry on talking to the person knowing he was healing them until he moved away.
.
@BlessingsDeers So happy you shared your experience and synchronicities with us here.
Congratulations @BlessingsDeers for facilitating your 1st Dream retreat! Sounds like (with those synchronicities as well) that it was a Great success!
For reasons of “Red hair” (mentioned many times in this thread) and “horse” no doubt sense was assisting you.
Can you share how?
How extraordinary that whilst you were away from NC & our chat here recently dominated by the “Phoenix” subject, at the same time you had the “Phoenix” also brought up in your retreat.
I have to share that whilst reading all of your post here … my whole body was reacting with the angel tingling:star2: which was discussed in this thread.
OMG!!! Can see the “Phoenix” energy! Awesome you managed to capture in the photo!
You must have been surprised we were talking about the Phoenix which i thought yesterday was the last of that subject … but it wants to continue.
The stallion (Picolin) is a close friend to one of the participants (he gave money to “buy” him and takes care of him with a lot of love) and in one morning + the celebration, we were with him.
I have done several workshops with horses AND one with stallions before (it’s different), so I proposed two activities, plus an extra that I learned with @NightHawk999
activity 1 - to connect with him and imagine the world through the horses perspective;
activity 2 - to approach him with what they learned;
extra - sending, receiving and keeping a white beam from heart to heart with Picolin, the whole time.
It was SO beautiful…
Before this, we had connected already with Picolin in one different activity indoors:
His friend shared a dream where he was with Picolin. We entered the dream together in a “movement dream constellation”. One of the participants, very intuitive, felt she was Picolin and adopted a rhythm and actions that were SO interesting.
When we were LIVE with him, she did it and he was SO happy and interested…
It was deeply moving everyone… people loved and Picolin also.
After the fire celebration he was kicking the air - with his front legs and then with his behind legs
he was so generous with us, that somehow he also became a participant, since we (me and his friend responsible for him) felt that, from now on, he should be only in fields (that he eats) from neighbors where he can be free
Ah! I did not plan any of this… it “just” happened… hihihi LIFE is so generous…
I immediately saw the phoenix in it, before I read what you wrote. What were yall burning in the fire? Acorns (those seeds/nuts on the stones)?
Awesome ‘Bon’ fire. Andrew talks about the ARTS technique, with the 4th method (most evolved ) being Self Liberation, or instantaneous Self Liberation. I can see how the Phoenix can be a symbol for this technique.
Glad you shared this
I am not sure if it was the first amazing discovery for me, but it was definitely one of the really big ones that let me know I was really onto something far deeper and bigger that I had previously thought. Learning that the Buddhists did sacred dream practices was also ome of these really big discoveries.
Love this! I had a dream last night about a red haird pony horse I volunteer with, her name begins with a P too.
Before I had a mirror lucid dream years ago when I started meditating, I had a short lucid dream about my dog (she helped me become lucid realizing she was dead). I had this dream after I started doing yoga.
Question from an expert, I see… hihihi
We were burning pine needles! I didn’t know this technique. The result was amazing: it was good enough to roast the chestnuts, thanks to the stones around, and the earth was happy to be cleansed.
Think most know here that ‘Devine Timing’ is working its magic here.
Since returning to NC a month ago i can’t remember having had so much of those goose bump tingling sensation, so obviously in the right place.
The film The Celestine Prophecy i have the dvd and would watch often just to feel the tingling that always happens when John reaches the cliff edge. I just found this YouTube clip and throughout had the
I have always said while out camping, you are never alone if you got a good ‘Bon’ fire. Now I think I would modify that statement to, youre never alone period, but having good fire with you is like having a best friend at your side.
Still havent watched, will try to get to it after the zoom meeting tonight or this weekend. I have so many homework assignments from my spiritual professor
@Bianca_Aga guess who watched the first half of Celestine Prophecy last night?
I still haven’t watched any of Charlies more recent talks (like you other '“homework”). This one has lots of info & love the dialogue between him & Renata (she has quite a story of her own journey).
Great minds think a like. You must be a mind reader, that was the scene that did it for me, and made me realize this film was a homerun!
The other scene that really resonated was when he got into the car with that guy, towards the begining, and he was asking him to go 2 different places, (I think one was the airpoort) and the guy ‘wieghed’ the scene in his mind, and got a bad outcome. Jeffery Allen, a guy @BlessingsDeers reccomended to me, said something similar in one of his videos. That when he was first starting in energy work and intuition he would weigh different options and routes for the drive home from work. Often the longer route was what ‘felt’ the best, and on days when he disregarded his intuition, he wound up in nasty traffic.
