Satya sounds like a very experienced and compassionate healer and teacher.

New brain imaging studies with hypnosis. As far as I know, this level of brain imaging with hypnosis is new.
Glad you brought this up, small Synch I saw a book today on Hypnosis and almost checked it out.
Any resources or authors who you would recommend on the Art of Hypnosis?
The Classic master of Hypnosis is Milton Erickson.
Some interesting videos on using cannabis consciously for psychological healing and spiritual growth
Cannabis Spirit Medicine
Cannabis Spirit Resurrected
Meditating on Cannabis
Meditating on Cannabis (The Real Game Changer)
This was the best of the vids.
I wish he had talked about the different between Sativa and Indica, and how that can affect the meditation in different ways.
Less is more, very glad he stressed this point, 2x a month or less I think would be ideal.
I wish he would have talked about the effect of edibles vs smoking, and how the meditations differed. (much slower onset with edibles)
A few comments on this based on my own experience:
The 5th video above talks about using a mix of sativa and indica for a full range of cannabinoids and I think that’s a good choice based on my own experience. Sativas will be more stimulating, so the meditation will be more awake with less of a tendency to doze off, and more heady, so thoughts could spin off more, but you may also get inspirational “downloads.” The indica is more grounding and calming. May be better if you tend to get anxious.
I don’t smoke it much any more as it’s not so great on the lungs, but still do occasionally. Taking an oral tincture is now my preferred method, but it may take an hour for the effects to fully come on and then the effects may last several hours, so put aside several hours for a meditative experience, just like you would with other psychedelics. I also like vape pens. Here in Washington where cannabis is legal, I can buy vape cartridges that are very pure, from organically grown cannabis with no chemical solvents added. This is less irritating on the lungs than smoking and lasts a couple hours and comes on right away, similar to a smoking experience. Once in a while I may indulge in smoking some. Smoked cannabis has a very full body experience to it that I still sometimes enjoy, but it’s hard on the lungs, so I no longer do this that often.
I often keep a journal handy to write down any inspirational downloads that come with cannabis (or any other psychedelic) although some may see this as a distraction to just staying with going deep into the meditation. Use your own discretion. Oftentimes I just stay deep within the meditation, but if some important information comes through that I don’t want to forget, I may take a moment to journal about it.
Archeologists have found many mushroom shaped stones in the Mayan ruins of Mexico. The existence of Mayan mushroom shaped stones is believed by many as evidence that the Mayans once used psilocybin mushrooms in sacred ceremonies. It is generally believed that contemporary Mayan people no longer carry on these ceremonies in the same way that some other Mexican tribes, notably the Mazatec, do. However, several years ago I met a young man who claimed that his Father was spending time among the Mayans in Mexico and that they invited him to a secret mushroom ceremony. He believed that the Mayans were still carrying on these ceremonies and that they had given him permission to reveal this to the world. I was told that he had plans to make a film about this. However, I have not heard anything since and when I google “modern Mayan mushroom ceremonies” nothing comes up. To this day, I don’t know if this guy was bullshitting me, or if his Father never followed through on his plans, or if the Mayans changed their minds about revealing it to the world. Given how the Mazatecs have been flooded with psychedelic tourists, it is probably good that they are keeping it secret . . . if indeed such ceremonies still exist.
these things somehow still need to be a secret…
found out recently that there was an archeology discovery in Spain where they found psychoactive substances on a christian bowl used in the church ceremonies…
More benefits from mushrooms . . .
@BlessingsDeers I’d like to see that report about psychoactive substances in a Christian chalice. There has been speculations about psychactive Christian sacraments but I’ve never seen any concrete evidence for it.
Ok. I have just asked a Portuguese archeologist investigator to see if we can access the report. Let’s see what will come!
I have already an answer, but not the report… I do know who you can ask for it though, in case it makes sense to you: Professor Brian Muraresku. He seems to be very accessible and rigorous in his work.
Here’s one video where he shares about his discoveries:
Brian Muraresku: The Secret History of Psychedelics | Lex Fridman Podcast #211
some highlights:
the video is full with rigorous contacts in this area;
31h16 ancient beer and wine (nothing to do with our present beer and wine);
35h05
36h11 “Is there any evidence of psychedelics in the classical antiquity?”
36h38 the two pieces of data (that answer “yes”) - one in Spain and the other in Italy.

And his website where you can find his direct contact:
@fenwizard posted some great resources on an effective way to use cannabis:
(4th video out of the 5)
This is really wise advice. @YelienaT I think taking a break for a while from cannabis is one of the healthiest things you can do, especially if you are looking to enhance your dream practice. When you do decide to indulge again after the break, I think the advice above from the videos and from @fenwizard are well worht considering. I think best not to indulge in this medicine no more than 2x a month. Less is more. It will hurt your dreams for at least a few days after each use.
@BlessingsDeers. Wow those are some long videos and I haven’t had a chance to watch all of it, but I got the part of the 2nd video where he reveals that a cup was found in Spain that had a residue of beer and ergot (the fungus that contains compounds similar to LSD). I have been familiar with this theory for years, that the Eleusinian Mysteries involved a psychedelic brew called “kykeon” but I didn’t know that their was any archeological evidence for the theory! Great to know.
Also this would not be a Christian chalice, this is pre-Christian Greek paganism.
Re: cannabis. Yes, for some folks it can be an addiction rather than a spiritual sacrament. I know folks who have had to quit because they were using it addictively as an escape. If you are able to use it moderately and consciously as a psychedelic sacrament, that is a whole other thing. It also has medical uses for some folks. “One person’s poison is another person’s medicine.” Each of us must decide if this is our poison or our medicine. If you’re not sure, ask yourself “Am I using it to avoid feelings that I don’t want to feel? Am I using it just to chase a happy feeling (the dopamine rush)? Or am I using it to go within and explore my consciousness, gain more awareness and insight, or go deeper in meditation?” If you’re doing the latter, then you are using it as a psychedelic.
Makes total sense to me, if wine was an important part of these ancient rituals, why not other mind altering substances?
The ancient Greeks and Romans also used wine in their ceremonies and offerings to the gods.
Yes, Dionysus in the God most associated with wine and revelry.
The Eleusinian Mysteries center on Demeter and Persephone and Persephone’s journey into the underworld. Eventually her Mother Demeter rescues her from her captivity in the underworld by the god Hades. The initiates into the Eleusinian Mysteries went on a journey through the under world and back and it involved the use of the kykeon sacrament, which has been speculated to be a psychedelic beer made from ergot, a fungus that grows on rye. Albert Hoffman synthesized LSD from an ergot alkaloid.
