“In traditional South African culture, dreams are an essential part of everyday life. Our soul, or spirit, is seen to connect with us through our dreams, keeping us in alignment with our earth walk and day-to-day lives. If someone doesn’t remember their dreams, they are seen as being out of balance with the world around them because they don’t know what is happening to their soul. Thus, they could potentially put themselves or their community in harm’s way. In these situations, it is considered crucial that they consult with a sangoma, who doctors the person’s soul and helps them maintain harmony between the ancestral/spirit world and temporal reality.”
- John Lockley, in his remarkable memoir of his calling through dreams and initiatory illness to follow the path of a sangoma, whose Xhosa name is igqirha, “one who holds the lightning rod of the ancestors.”
PS: tonight I had an amazing magic dream… a special one… with my dog, colors, children, water and magic…
You are Amazing, thank you my heart
So cool. Never heard of this diety before. Sounds like a really great read!
I appreciate your words beloved…
Yesterday this jewel came to my hands…
the cover is simply… amazing!
Tonight I had a dream and you were there beloved @NightHawk999 in a non-linear and indirect way
(I didn’t dream with you for some time, now… since that dream where we were side by side at the bank ):
I was in a class, with many other students. My row was the middle one and my seat was the forth. It seamed that somehow, I was a fix student there because I was observing several students coming and going. What I noticed was that the people on the seats in front of me were all incredible people - game changers of society I was so excited with this that I asked for their attention. They were looking at me, I took a zip of water, and said “You should see who comes here - all fucking amazing people” hihihi a lady on the left looked at us as if I had said anything strange (she was definitely not your French teacher… hihihi)… but that didn’t interrupt the good vibe there.
thank yooooou for introducing me to your special French… hihihi and so much more!..
and… I think that dream you had about the deer was premonitory… tomorrow (Sunday) is mother’s day, I heard from Matthew
what a fucking awesome amazing dream life is…
I loved this dream!
The fact that students were coming and going was interesting to me and stood out/ Juxtaposed to you staying in the class the entire time.
Happy Mothers Day to you and your mother.
Tell me why?
If it was, it might be one that is multiple meanings. The following day after having that dream I saw a few deer, and I had not seen them in months, or all winter long.
You tell me how it was after today…
thank you… we had it last Sunday, but I guess it’s never too much to Celebrate Mother’s day
Lol, I think it was double precognitive, the kind where you get a big confirmation from the external world the following day (seeing the deer).
Bonnie & Clyde?!?!?!?
I dont remember this bank dream.
amazing!
hihihi
no… we were receiving bonus for being on the side of the bank (helping them)!.. they were giving it to us…
lol, yes.
With this Mars placement, this movie might interest you and @_Barry , Id give it a B-/B+, but still worth seeing.
A lot of violence. Disappointing Climax. But cool it was (loosely?) based on a true story. And overall pretty good:
tonight gonna watch “Inception” for the first time, after many friends recommending it to me… that will be enough violence for the next weeks! hihihi
It’s a good romp, and beautifully made, but bears basically no relation at all to non-movie-world dreaming. Still well worth watching though :).
Terrible state test. Takes far too long, have to find a level surface, have to pull the thing out from somewhere first :).
Just a movie. The idea of the state test, however, is a good one (hands, holding one’s nose, jumping up . . . )
Lucky! This is one of my favorites, right there with The Matrix!
+1! I think the idea of using a reality check like this is aimed at deciphering the depth he is dreaming at while remaining undetected in the dreamers dreamscape (to obvious and the dreamer’s projections start looking in your direction similar to how when Leo trains the girl in the movie and she goes overboard).
Small spoiler in there, don’t want to ruin the movie!
Of course it is a movie. Thus the smilie, tongue-in-cheek comment. The general notion of state test in lucid dreaming is great of course. Nose pinch is king :).
What I liked about “Inception”:
- the multi level dreams… I have experienced one of those and it’s just… life changing!
- the concept of putting ideas into other people’s minds (it’s what movies do)
but thought dreaming. we do it naturally, but this idea of deliberately choosing someone and putting a seed there made me think how much healing one could do for others
I totally agree with you!
I stopped at minute 44. It was enough seeing it until there.
For me it’s totally unbelievable that such an intelligent character is hooked on the promise to be seeing his children again, and embarking on such a delirious untrustworthy journey.
right on @_Barry … Got disappointed with Leonardo doing this kind of movie… specially because he’s a Lucid Dreamer and is delivering distinctions that do not support dreamers (from my perspective).
The main character arranging another architect was also so silly… For me, God is the best architect we can have… who always delivers what we need, deserve and are ready to work on! And have FUN!.. but I understand that for the movie industry what I just mentioned is totally unacceptable… at least in this context and for the target public of this movie, I guess…
exactly… no sense at all with that one either… aggravated by the confusion of being a tester that the dreamer is in his dream! (not another person’s dream). When we are in someone else’s dream… it becomes our dream
Never did this one. My queen technique is the “weird technique” of the hand. Don’t need it anymore, but it was my portal into Super Lucid Dreaming.
