one thing involved:
the heart… relaxes more when we are lying down. it has no gravity fear/impulse.

Another thing involved:
I have been practicing astral projection lying down, and experience things that, from my perspective, can only be experienced in a totally relaxed way.

One more detail:
altered states of consciousness are also achieved much better lying down, which from what you are describing, is what you are accessing.

And this is one of the reasons why I wish to practice Tummo:
For us to being able to sit straight, we need the whole body cooperating and the central channel free. When this happens, we can meditate sitting up straight and achieve the same, as if lying down - it takes a lot of practice and discipline though.

right on! your intuition got it!
it’s exactly that!

these meditations are GOLD… I am going to savor each one so much, in the next days/weeks. thank you SO much for sharing.

brilliant video! amazing. :pray:t3:
gonna share it with my Lu Jong teacher :cowboy_hat_face:

I’m doing this purification breathing before my Lu Jong practice everyday now… :brown_heart:
» before, I do energetic medicine and sing the “Om a ohm E Yam Kam Ram Lam Shudde shudde - aaaah” mantra, to thank for the cleaning of my five elements :ok_hand:t3:

I find it helpful to do sitting meditation with eyes open, taking in the whole field of vision, similar to the Tibetan Dzogchen practices. (I haven’t been inititated into Dzogchen but started doing this intuitively, expecially if I’m meditating outdoors). I’m less inclined to nod if doing this. Just become One with the whole field of Space!
I also enjoy lying down meditation when falling asleep, but yeah, sometimes I don’t fall asleep right away but eventually will drift off. I haven’t yet achieved a WILD.

By the way, a few days ago I was meditating with a friend at the White River, coming down off of Mt. Rainier. I was doing my eyes open practice and he was doing a closed eyed Vipassana practice (his lineage). I wanted to show him how to do the eyes open thing, but he was very attached to his practice and lineage. Different strokes for different folks.

Yes, this is my main meditation (zhine, open eyes, “dissolving the mind in space” – using the full field of vision as the object of attention, as described in “The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep” by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche (TWR). I find myself slipping into moments of zhine all throughout the day, just letting my mind go quiet, “abiding/resting in presence” as TWR writes.

I haven’t read this book but have listened to some videos by Michael Singer. I didn’t know it was Dzogchen.
So many books, so little time!

My gut tells me you will really resonate with his words (for a number of reasons). Will message you one of them. Please listen when you have the time.

He doesnt say:

But its clear he has studied the discipline, along with other powerful spiritual traditions.

Hoping to be proved right, but if I am wrong, I and you dont like it, I will eat my words.

this video is PURE GOLD… thank you SO MUCH for sharing.
LOVED the singing

this connected me with a recent message from Jim Carrey:

“Life is so beautiful, especially when I’m absent from it. Don’t get me wrong, Jim Carrey is a great character, and I was lucky to get the part, but I don’t think of that as me anymore. I used to be a guy who was experiencing the world and now I feel like the world and universe experiencing a guy. So there’s kind of been a shift.”

“That peace that we’re after lies beyond personality, beyond the perception of others, beyond invention and disguise, even beyond effort itself. You can join the game, fight the wars, play with form all you want, but to find real peace, you have to let the armor fall. Don’t let anything stand in the way of the light that shines through this form. Risk being seen in all of your glory.”

“You will only ever have two choices – love or fear. Choose love, and don’t ever let fear turn you against your playful heart.”

~ Jim Carrey

To the best of my knowledge this is a very advanced teaching, the fact that you resonated with it I think speaks volumes about your highly evolved Soul.
