Háblame hoy, tu palabra me da vida

Give me living water to drink, I long
Satisfy my being, your word is my food
Come, flooded, we want more of you, oh God
Your glory comes pouring out today, like water covers the sea

Living water covers me, fills every part of my being
Today my heart wants to see you
I love you, I love you

Talk to me today, your word gives me life
Father of love I draw closer to you
Daily
Come, flooded, we want more of you, oh God
Your glory comes pouring out today, like water covers the sea

Living water covers me, fills every part of my being
Today my heart wants to see you
I love you, I love you
Come fill this place, with passion we come to cry
Desperate for your heartbeat
We love you, We love you

Your glory come here
Let the thirsty drink today

Your glory come here
Let the thirsty drink today

Your glory come here
Let the thirsty drink today

Living water covers me, fills every part of my being
Today my heart wants to see you
I love you, I love you
Come fill this place, with passion we come to cry
Desperate for your heartbeat
We love you, We love you

“Feliz Navidad” - First To Eleven (Christmas Rock Cover)

Selena G - Feliz Navidad (Cover)

Feliz Navidad with Lyrics | Love to Sing Christmas Songs and Carols

Feliciano wrote “Feliz Navidad” while feeling homesick at Christmas, missing his family in New York City and his extended family further afield as he sat in a studio in Los Angeles. He remembered celebrating Christmas Eve with his brothers, eating traditional Puerto Rican foods, drinking rum, and going caroling. “It was expressing the joy that I felt on Christmas and the fact that I felt very lonely”, he told NPR in December 2020. “I missed my family, I missed Christmas carols with them. I missed the whole Christmas scene.”[4]

The song was recorded in 10 minutes at RCA Studios on Sunset Boulevard with producer, Rick Jarrard. “That’s why it’s the simplest song ever written. 19 words to it”, Feliciano told The New Yorker. “I wanted a song that belonged to the masses. If you know where your song is going to go, you don’t have to fuck around with it too much. I used to say to myself, 'Joke ‘em if they can’t take a fuck!’”[5]

Maná - Bendita Tu Luz

"Blessed is the place, and the reason for being there.

blessed coincidence
Bendita la coincidencia

Blessed is the clock, which put us there on time

Blessed be your presence
Bendita sea tu presencia

Blessed God for finding us, on the way
Bendito Dios por encontrarnos, en el camino

And to take away this loneliness, from my destiny

Blessed is the light, blessed is the light of your gaze

Blessed is the light, blessed is the light of your gaze

from the soul
Desde el alma

Oh-uoh-oh
Oh-uoh-oh

Blessed eyes, that avoided me
Benditos ojos, que me esquivaban

They pretended to disdain, that they ignored me
Simulaban desdén, que me ignoraban

And suddenly you hold your gaze
Y de repente, sostienes la mirada

Blessed God for finding us, on the way
Bendito Dios por encontrarnos, en el camino

And to take away this loneliness, from my destiny

Blessed is the light, blessed is the light of your gaze

Blessed is the light, blessed is the light of your gaze, oh

Divine glory, in this way of good Tino

To find you right there, in the middle of the road

Glory to heaven to find you now
Gloria al cielo de encontrarte ahora

Take my loneliness with you, and coincide in my destiny

In the same destination, épale
En el mismo destino, épale

Blessed is the light, blessed is the light of your gaze

The typographer who composes this page well, which you may not like.
A woman and a man reading the final triplets of a certain song.

1. “Romance Sonámbulo” by Federico García Lorca

Federico García Lorca, one of Spain’s most celebrated poets, penned this mesmerizing poem. “Romance Sonámbulo” (Sleepwalking Ballad) depicts a passionate tale of love, tragedy, and destiny. Its vivid imagery and haunting rhythm convey a sense of surrealism that lingers long after reading.

Verde que te quiero verde.

Verde viento. Verdes ramas.

El barco sobre la mar

y el caballo en la montaña.

Con la sombra en la cintura

ella sueña en su baranda

verde carne, pelo verde,

con ojos de fría plata.

Verde que te quiero verde.

Bajo la luna gitana,

las cosas la están mirando

y ella no puede mirarlas.

Verde que te quiero verde.

Grandes estrellas de escarcha,

vienen con el pez de sombra

que abre el camino del alba.

La higuera frota su viento

con la lija de sus ramas,

y el monte, gato garduño,

eriza sus pitas agrias.

¿Pero quién vendrá? ¿Y por dónde…?

Ella sigue en su baranda,

verde carne, pelo verde,

soñando en la mar amarga.

. . .

Verde que te quiero verde.

Verde viento. Verdes ramas.

El barco sobre la mar

y el caballo en la montaña.

English Translation

Green, how I want you, green.

Green wind. Green branches.

The ship on the sea

and the horse on the mountain.

With the shadow at her waist,

she dreams on her balcony,

green flesh, green hair,

with eyes of cold silver.

Green, how I want you, green.

Under the gypsy moon,

things are watching her

and she cannot see them.

Green, how I want you, green.

Large frost-covered stars

come with the fish of shadow

that opens the path of dawn.

The fig tree rubs its wind

against the roughness of its branches,

and the mountain, a cunning cat,

bristles its sour spines.

But who will come? And from where…?

She remains on her balcony,

green flesh, green hair,

dreaming of the bitter sea.

Green, how I want you, green.

Green wind. Green branches.

The ship on the sea

and the horse on the mountain.

“Cultivo una rosa blanca” by José Martí

This Spanish poem by José Martí is a poignant and emblematic poem that speaks of the poet’s commitment to cultivating purity, truth, and freedom amidst a world tainted by deceit and oppression. Through the metaphor of a white rose, Martí encourages the reader to nurture virtues of honesty and integrity, striving for a better society where love and justice prevail. It serves as a call for personal and social transformation, reminding us of the enduring power of goodness and the importance of standing up for what is right.

Cultivo una rosa blanca
en junio como enero
para el amigo sincero
que me da su mano franca.

Y para el cruel que me arranca
el corazón con que vivo,
cardo ni ortiga cultivo;
cultivo la rosa blanca.

English Translation

I cultivate a white rose
in June and January
for the true friend
who gives me his sincere hand.

And for the cruel one who rips out
the heart with which I live,
I don’t cultivate the thistle or the nettle;
I cultivate the white rose.

** “Peso ancestral”

by Alfonsina Storni**

Tú me dijiste: no lloró mi padre;

tú me dijiste: no lloró mi abuelo;

English Translation

You told me: my father did not cry;

you told me: my grandfather did not cry;

the men of my race did not shed tears,

they were made of steel.

While saying this, a tear sprouted from you

and fell into my mouth; more poison

I have never drunk from such a small glass.

Feeble woman, poor woman who understands,

I experienced the pain of centuries by drinking it.

Oh, my soul cannot bear

the weight of it all.
