šŸŽ¼ Wake Up Singing or Humming a Tune?

Great moment in TV history . . .

Yes i remember watching it live. She went on to be more famous than Elaine Page. Touring the world singing to 1’000s.

Think the song i keep humming was messaging:
I dream a dream

Yeah this was a big one, talk about not having to dig to deep to find the meaning in this one.

I really liked the comments you posted, especially this one:

I would push back on the part about her not loving him back, I get the vibe that there are still some love feelings on her end, shes just moved on, probably due to an irreconsirable hurt, and is now looking for love in the wrong places (wealth & beauty), and he sees that, and knows what will truely make her happy becuase he knows her on a deeper level.

Its a really beautiful song, have not heard it in a while.

After writing this I went and watched the music video for the first time (I didnt watch more than 20 seconds of it before, becuase it looked stupid :upside_down_face:, and I didnt want it to ruin the song for me). But eager to see if the comment missed the mark on her sentiments, I watched it, and I think her body language speaks volumes about love still being there, as does the symbolism of the closed door (possible irreconsirable hurt):

Yup. And I think the deeper message that true love, never really dies.

Are you kidding me!?!?!

ABSOLUTELY I do :star_struck:

Dream:

Daytime, a block away from the luxurious ā€˜methadone clinic’ (coffee shop), in a cemenet paved park like area of the upscale strip mall. It is this time of year, sunny, and I notice the evergreen trees there are in bloom, and they are blooming white flowers, kind of like this image:

There are at least 2 evergreen trees, one is about 10 feet tall, and similar in appearnce to a christmas tree (Spruce)

The other is an Eastern White Pine, very tall, at least 4 or 5 stories tall:

When I walk to them I am amazed to see them in bloom, thinking to myself, I have never seen these trees in bloom before.

At the top of the tall pine tree are two very big Bald eagles. Probably 2x-3x larger than they are in real life. I didnt get a clear sight of them at first, branchs were in the way, but eventually they both came into view. I was really amazed to see them, and felt honored by the gift of their presence.

I dont remember much after that.

End dream.

I did see a HUGE red tailed hawk yesterday morning, hunting in a park area where there usually are lots of squirrels.

I had never seen them hunt there before, but when I see them perched on a tall water tower about a mile away, I have in the past tried to send them mental images, letting them know about the ā€˜tree rats’ in the park, and it being prime hunting territory. Hopefully that means they got the memo…

This was my interpretation too, very cool.

Really like your analysis of the cafe.

Amazing! Didnt think og this until you wrote it, but tree= knowledge/wisdom, so important eastern spirtual knowledge or wisdom.

Really like this interpretation. I didnt cross my mind that the bald could be referring to spiritual leaders who are bald and far seeing.

Thank you for doing this. You are awesome!

The cafe interpretation came about after breaking the word down to
Cafe … c=see a fee
See a fee, as in everything has a price (karma)
Coffee … see off fee

Youre welcome happy to share my interpretations

BTW loved all the photos ! Especially the birds.

Great clip, really impressive voice!

"
I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When hope was high and life worth living
I dreamed that love would never die
I prayed that God would be forgiving

Then I was young and unafraid
And dreams were made and used and wasted
There was no ransom to be paid
No song unsung, no wine untasted

But the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hopes apart
And they turn your dreams to shame

And still I dream he’d come to me
That we would live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather

I had a dream my life would be
So different from this hell I’m living
So different now from what it seemed
Now life has killed the dream, I dreamed"

Sad song.

ā€œBut the tigers come at night
With their voices soft as thunder
As they tear your hopes apartā€

This is a real gem.
Dark, but beautifully stated.

Some interesting irony going on with the clip, I think Simon wittily sums it up perfectly:

ā€œyou are a little tiger arent youā€

Thats a huge complement, coming from a big tiger :tiger:

The big irony is the almost the entire crowd dreamed a dream of what susan was, before she opened her mouth, roared, and tore their dreams apart.

Have you had this theme been on your mind of misperceiving reality only to have it shattered by reality?

What was the feeling you had while you were singing it? Truimph? Sadness? Regret? Inspiration?

The silver lining of having dreams torn to shreds, is it forces us to have new dreams, ones that may be more harmonious with reality.

The song speaks to a big part of the human condition, and Ithink this passage sums it up beutifully:

I pulled up this quote the other day, havent read the book in years, but the ending is literary gold.

How hard we cling to these dreams in life, seems to proportionately be how much we suffer when they dont materialize or are taken from us.

Gatsby’s dream cost him his life.

Really cool, I think its spot on.

Came to the same conclusion, inspired by your interpretation, but looking at it from a different perspective.

Coffee= drug,

drugs lead to addiction

Addiction = karma

I will add with another twist of irony:

The only thing worse than losing big your first time in the casino,
is winning big.

It gives the ā€˜gambler’ a false sense that the odds will always be in their favor.
Masking this trueism:

Even worse:

I think too often people pour out their souls, and labor tireously for years trying to achieve their dreams, only to find that those dreams they worked so hard for, and sacrificed so much life force for, are actually nightmares.

Talk about very cruel irony.

Thats it!! The exact bit of the verse i kept singing. It was the ā€œapartā€ that fixed which part of the song held the message.

So its now the :tiger: Tiger. (Replaced Phoenix). Think we have another puzzle to solve.

The song has Tiger, Simon says Tiger. You posted Jungle book that has a Tiger and Richard Parker the Tiger.

I was watching film Kundun the life story of HH The Dalai Lama. I noticed when very young child in film he keeps growling like a Tiger. Martin Scorsese directed the film liaised with HH to get its authenticity.

And what are your dreams?

ā€œAnd one fine morningā€.
Like ā€œchop wood carry waterā€.
Really beautiful!! The reader has a very easy to listen voice. Thanks for sharing.

Good quotes but never liked Gatsby. Always thought ā€œRagtimeā€ by E.L. Doctrow was a much better representation of the times.

I wouldn’t know, have never won big in gambling, not that I’ve played it much. But see where you’re coming from.

You summed up the song ā€œI dreamed a dreamā€ the way its portrayed in Les Miserables.

Prety modest TBH, just to materialize a few dozen of the following:

Deep country acres
Pitbulls
Grandchildren
Wives
Horses
Bison
Prides of lions

Wish I had the wisdom of Soloman to achieve them.

How about you?
What are your dreams?

Very cool synchronicity.

Not Jungle book, but since you mentioned it, if you have t seen the Disney remake, I think its worth your time,

The book title was:

LOVE the Tiger

(heres pics ot the cover, and quotes at the beginning and ending)

Havent dug into the Dante passage yet.

If you had the wisdom of a solo man you probably wouldn’t want those dreams.

I don’t have any dreams.

Whats written here is what i experience when i had QHHT hypnosis and felt this energy of a whole instead of duality.

The picture has a black panther as well as a tiger.

Never read any of Dante.

This song was playing in my head this morning:

@Bianca_Aga

Had a dream about you last night.

You were at my grandmas death bed (she already died), and you were named the Executer of her will (she didnt have many assets). Strange dream. You also said I would be taking a road trip in the next near.
