The rise and fall of the psychedelic 60’s.
Western culture has never been the same since!
Enjoyed the trip back. First introduced to this world in '65.
I remember some training films I saw in the military in '68 involving LSD, similar to the following:
I somehow missed seeing “Hair” back in the day. I know that the nude scene at the end was a very controversial.
There is no doubt that massive use of psychedelics (LSD, Mescaline and Cannabis were the main ones used then) as well as the pushback against the Vietnam war, the Civil Rights movement and the Women’s movement, all contributed to a major shift in the culture. Ken Wilber would call it the shift from Modern consciousness to Post-modern consciousness.
Unfortunately, “Hair,” wasn’t made into a movie till 1979, so a lot of its relevancy had already been dissipated. I saw Hair on Broadway in '67 and it was great. The movie holds up! Worth a view.
I’m most sure there is… even if not conscious, it sure is happening. The synchs, signs, the unity we experience are so strong that there is something happening in the astral as well.
Interesting enough, today I wrote an article, before seeing these messages.
Here goes the article:
"THE LOVE DETECTIVE.
It started with a dream. I was teaching two people how to express anger in a conscious, mature, and effective way. In this, one of the people breaks rule number one: don’t hurt yourself or others. In a movement of conscious anger I responded to the letter, with body, emotion and words: «Never touch me with violence again!». The tone was very calm and FULL.
Sharing with a dear friend, the theme developed.
We touched the issue of sexuality that many couples still live without awareness of. In a world where reflecting on these issues still seems like fiction, it is really important doing so because what can happen is that desire disappears. Which is healthy and natural. The initially passionate enthusiasm, driven by an aggressive sexuality, stopped making sense with the approach in other spheres, where affection, understanding, a mature coexistence, and growing tenderness, make the prehistoric sexual act no longer necessary.
And here I quote an author in this area that I LOVE, Dr. Robert Masters: “Instead of using sex as connection, let sex be an expression of an already - existing/present established connection.”.
I know it’s easier to write or say than to do, but if there’s anything fascinating, it’s the unknown. There is a whole Universe to be explored in this area! With different colors and flavors than what we are used to. But for that, we really need that connection and a huge heart!
Yes, it is this organ that pumps blood throughout the body, the river of human life, that teaches us and invites us to trust, to know that we have all the support and that we don’t need to go after it. Yes, you need to be present, aware and miracles happen.
Returning to the dream, in which there is a clear boundary communicated, what we can do is open the door so that we can communicate it in each moment. With as little thought as possible, because today’s limit could be different tomorrow.
Silence here helps to avoid going to strong mental places, ideally holding a strong intention and then dancing. The mind is excellent as long as it does not condition and contract the infinite possibilities of each day, where the only certainty is constant change.
At the same time, although difficult, talking is also essential. Communicating with body, emotion and words, magic happens… we touch each other without needing physical touch. In my experience, this type of touch is just as powerful as physical touch. Sometimes even stronger!"
No!!! Grey not blonde!
It definitely wasn’t Ivanka LOL!
No it wasn’t Pam Blondie LOL.
She had me fooled for a sec. She wins the Ivanka look alike contest!
OK, enough of the politics.
Lets get back to psychedelics and dreams.

An upcoming online event that may be of interest:
Don Jose Campos, a Peruvian ayahuasquero who has been in prison in Mexico for several years for possession of ayahuasca just won his case! This opens the door for ayahuasca to be used as a healing medicine in Mexico. I had the privilege of being in ceremony with him one time in Oregon in the early 2000’s. I have also been in ceremony several times with his students Shimshai and Susana.
Yeah there’s a whole Aztec legend about the snake and the eagle on the Mexican flag. You may know it, but if not, google it.
One of my favorites.
I don’t think it was a ‘Legend’, I think the premonition actually happened, and was fulfilled…
Yes, could very well be.
This bill will soon by going to the legislators here in my home State of Washington. It will open the door to therapeutic supervised psilocybin services, and I was surprised to learn, that after 2 years, it may approve the use of other psychedelic medicines, including DMT, MDMA, ibogaine and mescaline! The article above doesn’t mention this, but I just read the bill and that is indeed what it says!
