This portal opening corresponds to the peak of the meteor shower, and I have read was also around the time the Nile used to flood (before they Damned it).
Pop culture astrology gets it wrong, but serious astrologers will tell you there are plenty of shy and cautious lions. The self confidence falls on a bell curve too, with excessive self confidence leading to people like Napoleon, Mussolini, Castro, and Madonna .
Your moon placement plays a big role in personality, as does the Venus, Mars, Mercury, etc.
Amen
These are words we can all live by. This fixed fire sign, like the other fixed signs is known for stubbornness, especially when it comes to beliefs. The fact that you are aware of this and willing to grow beyond it puts you way ahead of the curve.
I have a “deer” friend whose birthday is on the 5th!
She has the Midas touch! in a very serene and spiritual way well, and also with money… hihihi she’s deeply connected with Jesus and once I held her hands and noticed something incredible… on the outside they are kind of rough but on the inside… the softest hands I ever touched. And I would say that is one of her best qualities - very pragmatic and energetic to do what needs to be done on one side, and very sweet on the inside, with a very generous heart.
About Leo I only watched the first seconds about showing up! but… I can see a Leo in you… when you show up, you really show up, and the world is just marveled by your knowledge and wisdom. I would dare to say that the world needs people like you to show up. Did you ever have someone to look at your astrological map? If you’d like, I could check it out… to understand better what is it that somehow makes you feel you are not a Leo… if you’d like that, please send me the following data in a private message here at NCC: place of birth, date and time. It’s confidential
Anyway, I can share that I’m Aries, but it’s very close to Pisces, so I have A LOT of Pisces traits, along with other planets in Pisces, and energies in the 12th house Never the less, I do feel the Aries in me alive, just in a different way. I’m a warrioress indeed, with a lot of spark, but a profound and artistic one. Knowing my map helped me with understanding the unique Aries that I am. Inspired in what I see from you here, and in my friend who was also born on the 5th, I would say that you are a Leo whose fire is delicate, worthy, calm and subtle. What I would focus on would be to refine non verbal ways of expressing, such as dancing, or singing… so that you share your huge light with the world, in your unique Leo expression. And be less demanding on yourself… and others… also when you feel like combating something, that’s when you can do Karma yoga… to put that energy in service.
yes… AWARENESS seems to always be helping us to grow and evolve beyond our limitations.
What’s a fire sign? Yeah I can be stubborn. More in habits and behavioral patterns than beliefs though. I am trying to grow beyond that.
Hmm interesting. Yeah I do tend to get enthusiastic about things. Like meditation, working with difficult emotions, stuff like that. Thing is the opportunities for me to show up are kinda limited haha. Guess I should seek more places where I have the opportunity to share my enthusiasm.
Oh that would be wonderful! Thank you so much. No, I’ve never had it looked at yet. I’ll DM you.
This is beautiful tysm. I’ll give it some thought. Reminds me a little of Eckhart Tolle’s concept of people who hold the vibration for others. I’ve always felt that’s me. Being there for people in a supportive non-verbal way. I struggle with finding how to do that without being awkward though.
yes, please. I can see you, for example, in volunteer teaching about spirituality, either for young people, or older people. hihihi… and I didn’t see your map yet…!
you are so welcome! please think of an intention, or it will be the primordial impulse of figuring out the Unique Leo in you
yes, so beautifully written!
about being awkward… I once visited Damanhur, the most advanced spiritual community I have ever came across with. They are highly creative (have their own currency, and spiritual jewelry!), and together they moved from awkwardness to genius, to manifesting on earth what they feel and believe in.
I also have this characteristic… and found out about it, in a very explicit way, in 2003, when I did my training to being a professional teacher - the trainer made a video that captured my “invisible” talent for connecting energies and people. It was super cool to discover that in such a visible way! Singing is for me, one of the best ways of creatively loving people around me. I had to let go of feeling awkward and it was the best decision of my life!
On August the 5th, Mercury will be retrograde in Virgo.
As I usually say, there is only energy and it should move on to its place.
This astrological happening invites us to revise things, let go of the past, clean, clear, de-clutter, take care of things that wish to take care of for a long time. This is the energy in general. I find it always a good time for joining the flow of life… it’s a great time for intuition and things that are more invisible. Since it will be in Virgo, the energy of nitpicking will be even stronger… If possible, avoid signing any contracts in this period, but focus on all the details, ask all the questions and enjoy it all!
Here’s more from an article I share in the end:
"Mercury retrograde can teach us lessons in attentiveness and clarity. We are reminded to focus more, never assume, and double-check everything.
The August Mercury retrograde bounces between two signs, starting in Virgo and ending in Leo. Mercury in Virgo is typically a happy camper, approaching life through a keen lens that quickly rationalizes the information coming in and out of their daily life. When Mercury stations retrograde in Virgo, however, we can see this ordinarily rational perspective embracing the side of Virgo that worries over plans and nitpicks at everything. From August 5 to August 14, while Mercury retrograde is in Virgo, I anticipate anxieties surrounding the little things will pick up. You might feel frustrated when you or a coworker shows up 15 minutes late—or overwhelmed by the pile of clothes and dishes that never seems to go away. Doom scrolling on WebMD rather than just calling up your doctor…All these things give the tone of what Mercury retrograde in Virgo does. The first half of Mercury retrograde provides an opportunity to find awareness in the areas where we need more structure, routine, and planning, setting clear reminders for ourselves and others of what we need to ensure our circadian rhythms don’t go out of whack.
The second half of Mercury retrograde, taking place from August 14 to 28, is when Mercury slides back into Leo. The focus shifts away from external factors that might throw our work, health, or daily lives off balance, and we begin to look at how we view ourselves internally. Mercury in Leo is a confident communicator with a strong sense of self and the ability to understand who they are and their place in the world. When Mercury stations retrograde in Leo, we feel like we are in a fishbowl with all eyes on us. Our mind fixates on the ego, the sense of self, and how we interpret who we are based on the information we receive. You might find, during the second half of Mercury retrograde, you are less inclined to share your opinion. And if you do, it is often misunderstood. There might be moments of imposter syndrome or questioning yourself. Mercury retrograde in Leo allows us to examine how we communicate with ourselves, where we lack confidence, and why we should take up more space. The second half of the Mercury retrograde will be an excellent time to have daily affirmations, politely share your perspective, and remind yourself that someone else’s opinion of you is none of your business."

you give it all away…:! hihihi Libra! (I think - you had shared this before…)
Happy Birthday my friend!
Sorry for the late bday wishes, I miscalculated and thought it was today (for some reason in my mind the Lions Gate opening date was the 8th).
Keep on following your heart and your joy. Leos have powerful heart chakras. I have a feeling you will help a great many souls with your Christ Love.
The Lion’s Gate Portal technically runs for two weeks, opening in late July on 28 and closing in mid August on 12. However, the pinnacle of the Lion’s Gate Portal is August 8 (8/8). People will often commonly refer to this date as the Lion’s Gate Portal itself - this date is also known to some as the galactic new year.
### What is the significance Lion’s Gate Portal?
The Lion’s Gate Portal is the moment where Sun in Leo is in alignment with the star Sirius, Orion’s Belt and Earth. This happens when Sirius “rises” or becomes visible again due the Sun’s yearly passing of the star.
Why is this significant? Well, Sirius (the Alpha star of the Canis Major constellation) is the brightest star in the sky and is astrologically considered to be a spiritual sun. It was an extremely important body to the Ancient Egyptians who referred to it as the goddess Sopdet. They used the annual rising of this star to note when the Nile would begin its annual flood, feeding the landing and bringing harvest and fertility."
I think I need to fact check the video beginning and this article where they take about the Alignmnets.
There is not a direct linear line that forms, I do not think.
This stuff is difficult to visualize, but I think a more accurate depiction is to say it is the time of year where Sirius once again becomes visible, along with Orion’s belt, and the galactic center.
Will have to do some more due diligence to get you the most accurate definition of this.
"The FULL MOON occurs on Monday, August 19th, 2024, at 2:26 PM EDT.
On Monday, the Full Moon occurs when the Sun in Leo at 27 degrees and 15 minutes forms an opposition to the Moon in Aquarius at 27 degrees and 15 minutes. The Full Moon is a time of culmination and the promise of fulfillment of that which was started at the New Moon. It is an emotional time – a time of romance, fertilization, and relationships.
The Leo Sun is proud and intensely individual–not content with simply being just one of the team. The Aquarius Moon, while individualistic as well, values independence and the team, community, and group spirit. The Full Moon illuminates this conflict.
When a Full Moon occurs, we can suddenly burst forth with proclamations and outpours that seem fresh and new, simply because they are not yet rationalized. In fact, a Full Moon illuminates feelings, attitudes, and circumstances that are already in existence.
This is a time of awakening to the need for others or to answer to humanitarian impulses.
This lunation is square Uranus, suggesting some tense, rebellious energy connected to our realizations and epiphanies. The Sun is aligned with retrograde Mercury, having just formed an inferior conjunction the day before, and our revelations are pivotal and surprising. While we’re anxious to move forward, we’re temporarily focusing on the past.
The Full Moon Chart:
Full Moon in Aquarius chart: August 19th, 2024
This phase of the Moon occurs at 27 degrees and 15 minutes of Aquarius, opposite the Sun at the same degree of Leo, and affecting planets at approximately 23 to 30 degrees of the Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) and 0 to 1 degree of the Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) the most."
